My BFGoodrich KDWS factory 235/50/18's have been doing great in the snow this year. Good up to about 6" here in Indiana with 120 lbs extra in the trunk. They handle Ok on dry and wet pavement too!

WOW !! 6 inches, I wish I had that much ground clearance!!

Back to topic, OB'sompthins question was for tires for the track.

Kdw's are good all season shoes but give up after 2 or three hard laps at the track. And after only 15 tor 20 laps they started chunking, so i quit useing them for track days.

Thank you! That was the answer I was looking for. I'm looking to either bite the bullet on new street tires or a pair of drags, and that answers it for me.

I just put on 4 new Bridgestone Potenza RE750's in 255/50/17 all around... they were well priced and they handle excellent on dry and wet... and they look great and really really beefy!

+1 on the Dunlop SP Sport 9000, I have been running them for about 10k miles with no complaints. great grip, good wear so far. only down side is price.

ditto....

I run 555's on my car and they hook pretty good. I'm running 295/45 rear and 255/45 front...

With the stock tires/rims I could lay a nice patch of rubber pulling into second at 6k. Now with the nice wide sticky Nitto's, when I hit second at 6k, it just does a quick bark and keeps on truckin.

Very nice performance tires, sticky once warm (cold they dont stick so well) considering they are a 300 treadware tire, they perform like a 100.

I've also run these tires on a road coarse and I never lost traction once.

Maybe you mean BF Goodrich KDWS?

Did you have the stock Pirellis before these? How do they compare as far as ride and quiet?

yea thats what i meant. I don't start thinking until I get off from work.

They are actually just as quiet if not quieter. I did have the stock pirellis, got about 31K on them. Probably could have gone further but decided I wanted new tires and wider tires. The Pirellis sucked in the rain but were getting really bad. So far it hasnt rained since I got these. They handle great and the ride I think has gotten a little better but could be all in my head. Think they look really good too.

Another vote for Nitto 555s. I run 275/40/18s on all four corners.

Cannot agree enough. Expensive, but great all around tires.
