George, I have a brand new Auburn Pro in an unopened box if you want. I'll give you a great deal on it. I had one in mine before, but it ate up the spider gears. I talked with the Engineer and he confirmed the issue and said they had just changed the type of material they were using for the spider gears. I can understand if you would be hesitant. I know I would. I currently have a Detroit Tru-trac. It's awesome! I got mine from Drivetrain specialist DTS up in Michigan. It doesn't have any spider gears in it. Looks very bullett proof. Some have mentioned it looks almost like a spool, bt doesn't act like one on the road.
It costs $327.77 at the time, but they are asking $354 now. I paid $417.32 with next day shipping from Gordo. Their part number is
TT 913A561 make sure to ask for the new 3 pinion design. link
A guy at the track said he didn't have too much luck with the Eaton he had in his 05. I don't know first hand or if he was just a anti-Eaton fan.

Dude, you should be running way better than 13.2@104 with all those mods! What's going on?

1. Its an auto
2. Apparently it takes time to realize the full potential of a great combo

Im facing the same issues but without the 4:10s and other drivetrain mods.

I wouldnt say Saddles is far off mark.

What is the Part # for the FRPP 4:10 gears btw?

Yeah. I knew it wasn't going to last long racing, but I was hoping I'd get through this season on the stock one. :bang:
Is this with the new converter? I had to have new clutch pack installed just using street tires after 500 miles or so. Then it was so tight it raised heck until we added some friction stuff and a couple or burn downs in the community.

Is there a decent resource that correctly matches ET and trap speeds? Im asking because Im running through the traps @ 113 and Im wondering what the "corrected" ET would be for it instead of my 12.9

But is it really all that "real world" accurate? I guess with the full load of suspension mods and the correct gears it would be more possible to hit that number. All I want to do is improve upon my ET now since I have the power I've been waiting so many years for.

How much should I expect to pay for the install on the gears?

I can vouch for the 11.90's with a trap speed of 113. I got there with 75 hp shot and a pretty mild tune with the timing and full throttle use of the NO2. I had to shift into 3rd gear though wich is actually hurting my times since I was running 12.80's with stock gears staying in 3rd gear.

Edit: BTW my clutch packs were toast after World Ford Challenge. I have over 100 passes in the 12's with launches over 6500 rpm with a total clutch dump, my clutch and gears themselves have been holding up nicely. I am expecting them to let go any day now with NO2. I have about 10 passes on NO2, some with street tires though.

Video of 12.85, 6800rpm launch. Wife was driving at NMRA in KC.

What was your complete list of mods for the sub 12 second run?

I have been using M/T ET streets for better traction. It is kind of funny, with the factory gears they don't take much ET off. I was running 12.90's with true radials and only picked up to 12.85 with the slicks because of the taller tire. However; when the car is on the bottle my ET's are drastically different. I have been running anywhere from 11.90's to the 12-teens with the slicks and have actually slowed my street tire times to 13.20's, primarily from the lack of traction at full throttle on the bottle and becuase I have to shift again. So I guess the answer is no, I need to list the ET streets for track times as well now, before it didn't matter much except for making the car more consistent and allowing my wife to get into the 12's. She could only run 13-teens on street tires.
