For those with the Brenspeed Vortech V3

I'm considering buying one of these packages (non-HO) from Brenspeed.

How's the low-end power for those who have this package? The low-end power under 3k on my current Brenspeed tune is weaker than stock and I'm concerned that this could be the case also for their Vortech tune.

What's your experience for those who have this package?

Thanks!

I'm very intersted in this kit too. I've been researching the hell out of it and it looks like it makes great power and has a relatively simple install. That being said I know exactly what you mean about the Brenspeed tune. I had their tune with my JLT intake and just didn't like it. I switched to a VMP tune. I found the VMP tune was more well rounded across the entire RPM band. Don't get me wrong, the Brenspeed tune ripped. But it seemed like it sacrifised low end torque for high end horsepower. Another thing that bothered me about the Brenspped tune is that it lacked engine compression braking when going down hills while driving. It seemed like when my foot was off the gas and coasting down hill you didn't get that slow down from compression. It seemed to free wheel down hills and I constantly had to ride my brake to slow down (rather then letting th engine help me slow down) That was the #1 reason why I didn't like the Brenspeed tune. But anyway, the kit looks like it will take my GT and put it right on par with the power from a 2011 GT.

I don't have any problems with my Brenspeed tune, but I do have 4.10s in the rear.

Even if you buy the V3 non-HO from Brenspeed, why wouldn't you want to take it to a local dyno shop and have a proper tune done for your specific car/mods?

I have the V2 non-HO on my '07 GT automatic. No lack of low-end power. Car runs 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds and 0-100 mph in 9.9 seconds. Mods are very minimal on my car (4.10's, converter, GMS coils, X-pipe, and drag radials. Engine & suspension are 100% stock, and I'm still choking the blower through the restrictive factory exhaust manifolds and mufflers.

Just go for it man! and get it dyno tuned at your local shop. I don't have the Brenspeed Vortech kit, mine came directly from Vortech with their tune on the diablosport. No problems here, I just ordered the Vortech air to air intercooler setup from Brenspeed. Once spring time comes I'm going to have JDM Engineering do a dyno tune.

Thanks guys for the input. It looks like having 4.10 in the back might be a good first step. I'd be interested to see how the Brenspeed tune does with them, even NA. The Vortech really looks like it has a lot of potential and I like the idea of being able to upgrade later.
