I paid $360 for mine a few months ago directly from TCI, but somebody posted $339 someplace, I'll see if I can find that post and get back to you.

EDIT:

It's Jegs >>>---> http://www.jegs.com/i/TCI/890/619570/10002/-1

This looks like something that would make a good Xmas present this year. While I have never shifted my car much manually because I live out in cornfield Ohio where almost every road is 55 mph. I surely think they are sexy looking and would make a great addition to the interior of my car. Besides at my age I could never out shift my car the way Brenspeed has it tweeked!

Thanks all. I got it from Jegs. They had $339 also and 3 day shipping for $12. It goes in next week. I painting up some interior parts since I have to take stuff off anyway.

There is a good install write up right here on the Mustang Source by "tdbrown75" BTW.

I wrote to TCI when this shifter first hit the market (and pricing was in the $450 to $500 range) and told them I would like to buy one, but would wait til they were under $300. Looks like I won't have to wait much longer at this rate.

I would be really surprised if they got under $300 any time soon, I think the the price is close to bottoming out.

Then I'll never buy one, I guess. I have a really tough time parting with money for things that don't add power to my car, or improve my ET's at the track. This shifter does neither and is more a novelty than functional. I'd still like to install one if the price was right.

I'm curious if the install in completed entirely from in side the car or if you have to go under the car also. I have never seen the installation instructions yet.

Just take your time it's an easy install. It takes as long to take the interior componets in and out of the car as it does to install the actual shifter.

I still like the way the TCI shifter looked on the Web page compared to the shifter that is being offered. Just MO though.

In the stickym in this mod section, it shows well a "how to". I'll do mine this afternoon or tomorrow.

I liked the reverse lockout toggle better on the prototype, but not the rubber accordian boot. Those are really the only differences that I am aware of. It's easier to upgrade the toggle than the boot I think. My only dissappointment is the location of the OD/lockout button but I am getting used to it now.

Posted in sticky yesterday, by mistake
Update on my install. Glad I got that clip. I tried on jacks stands first, impaciant, and broke clip. Then I went to friends house and got it on a lift. Install went well, put on new exhaust mufflers too.
Went to try out the shifter, not good. The LED does not light up and it gets stuck in Park. I have to manually manuver the silaniod (don't know how to spell that word) to get it out of Park (brake release part not working). I'm guessing bad siliniod or something electrical. But, I'm not consercerned at this point. I'll start the calling tomorrow and get another one coming. And you know how everything is easier the more you do it. We, I'm ready for the next install, soon I plan on.

Nwe update from this am.
After further checking it is the shifter and a new one is on the way.
