With my newly built motor, I wanted to clean my engine from the oil that had dripped all over it. So, I purchased three cans of engine degreaser, sprayed down the engine compartment and power washed it top to bottom. However, during this process, I also stuffed a rag into my filter tubing and covered any parts that I did not want to get wet with plasitc baggies. Well, I forgot to remove the rag ... this is what occurs when your supercharger eats your rag. Luckily I caught it quickly. No damage to the ProCharger, the Intercooler, MAF, etc.

I have included the rag that was stuck in the impellers, a shot of the intake side of the intercooler and a shot of the exiting side of the intercooler. Luckily the intercooler did not let the rage into engine.

To clean out the system, I removed the intercooler, flushed it with water and dried it over several hours with the sun, an air compressor and a hair dryer.

Glad to see you caught it before it made it into the engine How close are you to being back on the road?

I am on the road now (for about 2 week) for my break-in period. I will have a new tune in about 2 weeks for my final numbers

I just bought a used motorcycle the other day. I was taking it apart, changing all the fluids, checking everything out, found out the air filter was mounted upside down, with the plastic top down, completely blocking off the ram air intake into the air box.

The old owner fessed up he was in a hurry one day to take pics for the sale, and probably put it in upside down.

Like Byran said, take your time.

Bryan that would have been a hit for sure if it went into that new motor. Did you ever get all the oil leaks located and corrected?
I would not be a happy camper with the shop that did the work.
