So, now that a few in here have S/C their Stang, please let us know what you are using, how was the install, and what have been some pros/cons.

please

Yes, either a S/C or I am going to look at a resto-mod 72 468ci Chevelle today I would rather stay with my Stang though.

Hey, O5GT. Does the ProCharger still have the leak ?

with the ATI kit, no hacking required, could take it off quick and never know it was installed, vortech and paxton on the other hand modify the OE parts

I am looking at the ProCharger and Saleen - btu want to keep an open mind to other experiences. I like the ProCharger simplicity, but hate where they located the air filter. The Vortech adn Paxton seem like solid kits, but I do not like the hacking/changes needed. However, someone may give me some good reason that the hacking/changes work better.

thats what i am interested in checking out. i have already seen the ati kit in person at wfc 8....very nice kit, i did not like the vortec kit at all. after having a pretty fast 03 cobra i wouldn't think twice about putting a whipple or kb...they really make the car fun at the track and on the street

We've done two Vortech's for customers and the installs were nearly flawless. There is a plug that gets epoxied onto a tube for the manifold, that we took to a local machine shop and had welded because we didn't trust the epoxy. Other than that the installs were perfect.

Does the Vortech require the power steering to be moved and some of the other changes like the Paxton ?

No, it sits right up top. It seemed like the most daring thing that had to be done was the hole that gets punched into the oil pan. The mechanic that did it was thrilled with how easy it went in.

i like vortec over procharger but a 6 rib setup is silly to me. procharger got it right with there kit...maybe a procharger kit with the vortec unit

I am going with the vortech kit because I got a smokin deal on one and their reliability in regards to stangs is impeccable.I too have seen the vortech kit installed on the 05 and they did not need to relocate anything and the install is VERY clean
