Suggestions&Questions: More HP
I have an 06 GT with a Paxton 1200 (Non-IC) SC. What esle can I add to get some more HP/TQ? On a conservative tune and 20's, my car is putting down 379/354 to the wheels. New internals are out of the question and so are LT's, I live in CA.
Also, are Xpipes better for SC engines? I have the stock H and MAC axleback mufflers. My exhaust sounds like a popcorn machine at low RPM shifts, and if I rev it at 5-6K. Then again, I heard the MAC's are thin aluminum and real hollow. Is my tune too rich or is just my setup?

First off, you evidently know what you need to do to make more hp...it says it in your first sentence!! (Non-IC). You need an intercooler. Or at least a smaller pully with a matching tune.
Second, get this thing dyno tuned by an expert and you'll likely see an extra 50hp with just that.
Third, get some real mufflers like some Bassani's. Couple those with an X pipe and you'll find out what a muscle car SHOULD sound like!!

Exactly what these two dudes said........
1) Get a custom tune first; I ran a Vortech V2 with no cooler and stock 3.8 pulley and put down around 420 to the wheels with 18" deep dish bullitts; 439 to the wheels with the factory 17".
2) I recently added an intercooler and smaller pulley; with the same timing my car hits 450 with the 18" tires but it runs so much better due to the colder intake temps.. its a night and day difference. Although yours may be different because the 1200 blower is smaller than the 2200 blower; maybe check with Paxton or your tuner and see what they think.
3) If you're gonna keep your factory cats, changing to an X pipe won't make much difference if any at all. If you're gonna keep the factory cats, either go to SLP loudmouths or Borla stingers for your exhaust. No need to change to shortie or longtubes for more power at this point.

instead of ic try water methanol injection it acts like an ic and also increases your octane so you can tune it to take advantage of those two combined benefits http://www.alternativeauto.com/water...ing-05-gt.html

sell the giant ghetto wheels or put them on your SUV and then buy some lightweight racing wheels.
That rotational mass is not helping you in any way....

Anyone know how much 18" Steeda Ultralight wheels weigh? Are they as light as stock 17" Bullits?

Already been trying for the past year. I'd be giving them away with the offers I've gotten. I can live with the extra weight, not going to the track.

You'd be safe..... find a reputable tuner, and spend the money for the custom tune. It will be safer, and likely much more powerful, than what you have now.

You will get a lot of cluck for your buck by adding a IC. For every 10 deg F you cool the charge air you gain about 1% in horse power (cool air is denser air). At max boost if the charge air is hitting 300 deg F and you can cool it by 175 deg F, that represents a 17.5 % HP gain. Its also easier on the engine.
