strut tower brace
hi guys.
ok...i'm looking for best one out there bang for the buck.
this is continued quest to make the GT chassis more rigid.
bmw m3, ferrari, they all use it...so it must be good.
any insight on 2 bolt or 4 bolt strut braces?
i figure i have the a-arm bar below and the strust bar on top..the front end should be SOLID at that point.
i like the agent47 strut bar design alot and it only weights 3 lbs.

any thoughts? experiences?
the strange performance is lightweight but only 2 bolts.
thanks all !!

I loved my Ford Racing Strut Tower and was broken hearted that I had to remove it when I became Whipplized. I can't swear it made a significant difference but it looked GREAT!!!!!!

This is one of the best looking ones I have seen. I want info before I get it though:

Hey I got one of those A-arm braces from a guy that didn't want it. Do you notice a difference with it? I wanted more info before I put it on. I have not heard much from anyone having one.

I have the Strange Development (you typo-ed it dude) single-arm STB brace with two bolts per side. Bought it as much for styling, since it is in billet, as for performance. I did notice a slight change (improvement) in frontend handling upon adding the brace. I'm at 12,000 miles and have not found any downside or degradation yet..
what a-arm bar are you talkin about, do you have a thread..?

yea that shelby brace is sharp looking. If you know any one that can weld the lower brace is very easy to make on your own. I made my own, both tower and lower braces. Click on my sig for pics of the upper. That was my first attempt another one has been in the works for a while now

You'll never "feel" a difference with a STB. Frankly, you won't see a difference at all on the street with street tires unless your towers are about to collapse. It's mainly intended to keep the flexing to a minimum in order to prolong the life of the chassis under severe loading. For a street car the factory stampings/spot welds should stay pretty tight for at least 150k. So, if you intend to put about 300k on your car then you will likely reap the benefits.

After I installed the STB on my vert there was a noticable difference in how solid the car felt over rough roads and train tracks. The Steeda sport springs are pretty rough, so maybe that made the added rigidity of the STB more obvious.
