Strange messages after tune install.

Okay, so Doug at Bama emailed me a new tune to try since my first one was causing pinging. Unfortunately, still pinging, and also a new issue - I got a "oil pressure low" warning twice and a "brake fluid low" warning once during the 10 mile tset drice right after the re-install. the actual oil guage did dip for a second before rising back up.

I've emailed Doug, and I'm sure he'll do his best to get it worked out. I was just wondering if anyone else ever experienced a problem like this after a tune. I checked the CAI/connections/etc. - all is good.

A tune shouldn't have any effect on your oil pressure. What shape is your battery/alternator in? Low voltage can cause weird problems.

A tune will not affect oil pressure. The pump is mechanical, and not controlled by anything electronic. The messages you get are strange, but you shouldn't worry about actually losing oil pressure because a tune will not cause that. The gauge is electronic, and can be affected by the tune I suppose.
