Stingers Vs Flowmasters Round 2

Here's a vid TacoBill shot using both are our cars.

Tacobill (Red car)-K&N CAI,Pypes O/R H, FRRP Stingers (Manual Tranny)

Me (Black car)-K&N CAI,Pypes O/R H,Flowmasters (Auto Tranny)

Video shows revs to 3,000,4,000,5,000 then both cars revving like crazy at the same time.

Which sound better?? You decide.
IMO the Stingers sounded louder and meaner.

to my ears, the black car sounds better, and has a higher more hollow tone, which I like. Could be the camera recording as well, audio doesn't really carry over good on cameras, especially loud sounds.

I agree the audio isn't the greatest and nothing compares to in person.

the neighbors must love you guys. lol!

not being biased or anything, but in that clip, i think the stingers sound better

since your set-ups are pretty equal except for the mufflers, does either car have less trumpeting? or is it about the same?

Stingers! Flows seem a little raspy but it may just be the recording

The Stingers are definitely louder... BUT, louder does not necessarily mean better. I know this from experience as I've owed both . IMO, I'd have to vote for the Flows... better tone.

I am note a Stinger man! but on that clip, the Stingers win hands down! Sounds like one of the Flows has a loose baffle!

The flows have less drone because they're chambered were as the stingers have a straight through design.

I've had a loose baffle on my last set of flows so I'm pretty sure I don't have a loose baffle now.

I know you went flows/stingers/flows. So I have to ask on a scale of 1-5 how bad did the drone increase with the stingers??

I've always been a fan of Flowmasters, but in this experiment I liked the the Stingers. Of course, to do the experiment correctly, you should have just given us the sound clips, and A vs B

Not really concerned with which people think is better. We just made it so that people considering either exhaust combo can hear them side by side. My cars the one with the flows and I agree the stingers sound louder so it's not like me or Bill are looking to see which one people think is better.

Car on left sounds good to me. Black car for sure. Exhaust is subjective of course. I like just a little rumble and still be able to hear my music/

That's easy, scale 1-5... that would be a 5. Scale of 1-10... 10. 1-100... 100. It doesn't matter what the scale is... IMO, the Flows don't drone, and the Stingers drone like a mother...

I could only imagine what they were thinking! It's a good thing we shot the vid in one take.

Wrong person to ask, Leo.

Now hold on a sec... using those scales, honestly, how much drone was there when cruising above 2000 rpm's (around 70 MPH and above)? I'll answer that, 1, 1, and 1 again.

Now, if you're talking below 2000 r's, I won't argue with you there.

Most of my driving was at or near 2000, hence, the reason I sold them. I agree, over 2000 rpms... not bad. There was no drone at hard accel as well- My best experience while owning them

Bill,

You must be the most popular guy in the neighborhood!

I'm sure you get the same looks from your neighbors that I do when I have the Harley running.

I just use the "blowing the dust outta the intake" excuse.

I'll try and use that one next time!
