Sounds like the new Steed is going to take well to mods.

I guess that 'not being able to mod the 05' stufff was bogus.

To an extent....

Certain things I'm sure will still need to be 'unlocked'

Didn't someone mention that to tune it, basically the comp. has to be reflash, as opposed to a chipswap. More of a hastle, yes....but impossible....no.

Especially if you have a laptop or tuner.

Hey, hey, I know I a guy with a Mustang performance shop, and he has all sorts of programs for the computer systems.

I bet he'll be able to hack in pretty quick. :headbang:

MRT said the codes are difficult to break, but not impossible. The throttle-by-wire system shares a lot of technology with the F-150, and Vortech has found a way to safely add boost to that engine, so it shouldn't be too hard.

I'm stumped. I already read on this forum that the 05 was dynoed at 275rwhp stock. I thought it would be higher after adding the pullies.

That was the stock dyno. They dyno'ed it stock prior to installing the pullies.

So did anyone find out what the results were?

I thought I read somewhere that "reflash" will void the warranty. Is there any truth to this?

Had my Steeda UP kit installed, engine light came on then went off, then came on again right before I got home.

I have an Xcalibrator. Does the OBD need a flash for UP kit? I haven't heard of this being a problem for anyone with just a UP kit.

Thanks in advance for info......

Ten minutes after mine were installed, they had it on the dyno for tune. I can't think of any reason why changing out the UD pulleys would light the cel.
