Ok its official - Am a Steeda Fan. I went today to get my Control Arm Relocation kit and Bumpsteer kit installed added a G-Trac Brace and decided to go for the Steeda Sport Springs and take out my H&R Super Sport Springs. While the drop on the H&R's looked great and would handle like a Porsche - The ride quality on SFLA roads was terrible ! That and the fact I want
to put some long tube headers latter and don't want to worry about ground clearance and speed bumps - Made my decision to lower it only an inch.

Looks like am going to do a complete Steeda Suspension after all.

I am very happy with the cornering ability of the Steeda Springs and it completely eliminated
the dive the car would take when braking. The ride quality is firm but not harsh. As a daily
driver and occasional drive to the track (Moroso Park, Homesteed Miami Speedway)
This setup is the real deal !

Ok now I have to sell my H&R Super Sport Springs

Any takers ?

Hi,

I see you got the G-trac brace too. Now that you're hooked you won't want to stop till it's all done.

Have you done the swaybars and and the front and rear shock tower braces?

How you like your JBA Long tube headers & Mufflers ?

Am looking at a full Bassani exhaust - waiting on their headers or
I might go with Hooker.

Since we're on the topic of suspension, I was wondering what would be better to go with. Full supension systems like roush or saleen offers, or to buy everything separatly. If I went separately, steeda might be an option too. I would think the entire package would be cheaper, but im not sure. Ive heard good things about all three and I know there are other good companies out there too. Any opinions about quality and/or price of brands would be appreciated.

If you dont mind me asking... Compared to who?

Our sport springs are within 10 to 20 dollars of other reputable brands, and our Ultra-lite sport springs which are on holiday special right now are 30 to 40 dollars less than most reputable brands.

Our pricing is very competitive compared to other reputable brands on the market overall.

Compared to the Saleen kit which includes Springs, Shocks and a front Swaybar for $799.

I love my the ride height and the firmness of my Steeda suspension

I still have some front knocking when I go over sharp bumps.
Do not confuse this with the front end popping issue.
I have had the top plates replaced before putting in the Steeda springs and the popping noise was gone. I have reinstalled the originals to try and see if the knocking goes away and it does. As soon as I install the Steeda front springs the knocking comes back

I had discussed this with you at the Steeda Stampeede in October and you suggested I check the clocking of the springs. I checked and the clocking is correct with the top and borrom being 180 degrees from one another.

Do you have any other suggestions?
This has been an issue since last June and I'd like to get it resolved before spring (no pun intended)

This is a list of all the Steeda suspension components currently on my car.

555-8215 Steeda Sport Springs
555-8096 Steeda Billet Camber Adjusters
555-1050 Steeda Front Sway Bar
555-1051 Steeda Swaybar Competition Endlinks
555-5725 Steeda Billet Strut Tower Brace
555-5530 Steeda G-Trac Brace
555-1052 Steeda Rear Sway Bar C/W HD Swaybar Chassis Link Kit
555-4105 Steeda Adjustable Upper 3-Link Kit
555-4405 Steeda Billet Lower Control Arms
555-2551 Steeda Street Panhard Bar
555-2555 Steeda HD Race Panhard Bar Brace
555-5750 Steeda Rear Shock Tower Brace

I have the same problem, just discovered it yesterday. Trying to track down the problem myself because its a long drive to Steeda for me from Miami / Kendall. Almost sounds like a loose shock bolt, Or the bump stops in the rear. The front has a different sound to it. I suspect it might have something to do with the Control Arm Relocation kit they installed. I noticed they used aluminum blocks when they raised the control arms and bolted into place. Going to jack the car up this weekend and take a better look or I might just drive up to Steeda. Its not the springs I can tell you that much. I know what the poping sound from the springs sounds like. Ford corrected the issue noted in tsb 05-9-11 and the poping sound disappered. Call Steeda and schedule an appointment before hand, am sure they will take a look and clear it up for you.

I'm in Montreal so going down to Steeda would require a really long drive.
Someone else wrote a while back that he thought it was the front spring touching the outer edge of the strut tower.
I was told it sounded like a broken end link so I replaced them with the Steeda competition enlink kit.
Unfortunately that didn't solve the problem.

The Control Arm Relocation Kit and the Bumpsteer Kit are my next suspension mods.

We have seen the factory end links be loose and make noise, however if that was the cause and you replaced them with the competition end links then this would have done nothing to help this noise.

The competition endlinks being a competition part were not designed with the NVH requirements of a street use part and hence will make some noise. This may explain why you still have a front end knock after you replaced them. They are perfectly durable if you use them on the street, but not as quiet as an OE type endlink.

It isn't an endlink problem because the noise began the second I installed the springs. I do 1 mod at a time to document my results and the moment the springs were installed the noise began.
Furthermore if it was an endlink problem the noise wouldn't go away when I reinstalled my factory springs.

I have spent quite a bit of money on Steeda suspension components and I'm getting tired of everyone passing the buck.

Passing the buck? I was merely trying to help. Maybe I should have read your post more closely before replying. I'll keep that in mind next time I try to help someone......

Give us a call if you want to discuss the issue further.

This is one of my all time favorite pictures and after GTRacerX's last post I think that it fits very well here.

Picture was moved due to content. Remember, this is a PG site.

So I was thinking of putting the Steeda sport springs on, do I sense that this may not be the way to go?

Has anyone posted any reviews of the Ford Racing suspension package with the 1.5" drop?

To install a set of factory spring perches you had brought in to us, an issue Mike did explain you should try and get done again through the TSB as we do not perform warranty work and the issues with these spring perches are well documented.

Im surprised you also failed to mentioned the struts done by another shop that we found to be loose and fixed at no charge.

We realize you are frustrated with the popping issue and we will continue to help in any way we can. Please continue to communicate and work with Mike to solve your issues.
