STEEDA NEW PRODUCT ANNOUCEMENT - Adjustable Coil Over Suspension System!

After over a year and a half of testing and development, we have finally released our coil over suspension system for the 05-07 Mustang!

The front features Adjustable Tokico D-spec shocks in a ride height adjustable coil over configuration and Steeda's proven street upper strut mount with camber adjustment. Rear setup is a custom ride height adjustment system with Tokico D-spec shocks.

Our system is track proven having seen over a year of testing at different tracks as well as extensive street testing to insure this kit ads no NVH to the vehicle while providing the ultimate in handling, ride quality and adjustability.

Springs are sold separately, allowing the customer to build and fine tune the package based on their intented vehicle use.

Customers who already have our street upper strut mount can purchase the system without new upper mounts. All that is required is a lower spring cup change which is included in the kit.

For more information see this link: http://www.steeda.com/products/steed...ystem_s197.php

when these are installed, how hard is it to adjust from 2 inchs to say, 1 inch?
does it require the car to jacked up, or is there some tool you can use to reach in and make a simple turn of a wrench....??? thanks

Question What is the range of adjustment???

Front & Rear. Also what are the different spring rates you offer as well
front and rear? Looking to change out my Steeda Sport Springs for
something a little less harsh on the street. Plus I would like to purchase
your strut mount and street end links. Having trouble again with the front
end driver side factory end link. Need some help here Gus.

Gee it sure looks a lot like the Ground Control package ...

http://www.ground-control-store.com/...p/II=644/CA=96

They offer a conversion kit with or w/o the spring pirch.

All you have to do is jack up the vehicle, loosen the locking set screw and turn the adjuster with a wrench. Not very hard at all.

Currently we offer 162, 175, and 200lb rates for the rear

For the front you can choose between 200 and 275lb rates.

The 275's are not listed on the site but are available for the same price as the 200-250lb rates.

The Steeda Sport springs are a 200lb rate already, 200 is the minimum rate we use in the front so other than having the Tokico D-specs in the front and the reduction in weight that will make the biggest difference in ride quality if you switched.

A more cost effective solution would be a set of D-specs by themselves or our Pro Action shocks and strut package.

If you still want to do coil overs due to their other advantages I would suggest sticking to the 200lb rate in the front.

Looks can be deceiving, Tokico's D-spec valving is much better than their Koni struts.

Also, if you take the time to look at their strut mount next to ours, ours is much stronger and better isolates the car from NVH, its all in the details.

Yes, that is correct, with 225 front's I would suggest 175lbs in the rear.

Everyone notices a price increase, but never a price reduction, of which we have done many in the past 5 months.

If Ford Racing did the same price increase, I'm sure you would have felt differently. Go figure.

Well there goes the spring shock combo. Gus, any reccomendations for swaybars? Also what is the height adjustment range? lastly you said that you ise a tokico d-spec as a base for the shocks/struts, does that mean if the shocks wear out we will be able to replace with a new d-spec shock/strut? the only other experience i had with coil-overs were with vw's and the manufacturers built there kits so that the only way to replace a damper was to buy their damper to work with the kit.

thanks in advance, once i have the spare bones, you got a sale

It wont stop the common endlink clunk, which is just the endlink nuts being loose or backing out.

However the strut mount related clunks and noises will not be an issue.

The Front D-specs are custom, the housing is machined differently from a standard D-spec front strut. If a replacement is ever needed it would have to come from us, however the cartridge is replaceable so unless you damaged the strut you typically would not need a complete replacement. The rears are a standard D-spec rear 05+ shock. Total height adjustment range varies based on spring height and spring rate, but on average there should be +3/4 to -2.5 inches of ride height adjustment.

For swaybars, we recommend starting with a rear swaybar, part number 555-1056 to take the factory built in understeer out of the car, or you could do our front rear swaybar combo, part number 555-1065 for the most performance and adjustability, as the front swaybar is adjustable to fine tune handling balance.

True ground control have a Koni package, but they also have two kits that work with the Spec D's. One with the standard spring perch, the other with the spring perch (I assume) machined off.

This wasn't true in my case. The D-Specs were fine for mild performance with modest spring rates, but I found too much crosstalk in the adjustment and the front struts didn't work well with higher spring rates.
