If your car is lowered, you can set your pinion angle at the LCA rather than setting it via an adjustable upper control arm (UCA). It's a choice.

From an adjustability standpoint, that's true. From a practical standpoint the reason to install third-party control arms is that the factory stamped LCA and UCA/UCA Mounting Brackets are not designed for moderate to highly modified hp applications. So if you're experiencing issues with stability then its best to change out both. But to reiterate, you only need one of the control arms to be adjustable.

If you are serious about the best, you get spherical arms. More NVH, but rock solid.

Those in that link are from a company I've never heard of. Could be as good as the competition, or not. I'd get a proven urethane arm and call it good. The arms from the known companies are all comparable in performance.

Hi Bill,

I guess I am doing my mods in reverse of everyone else. I did all the go fast stuff first and finally after 5 years I am modding the suspension. Anyway this weekend I am installing Roush billet LCA's and can you believe you pay $279 for them and get absolutely no instructions at all!! But I remember my Cali buddy did an awesome write up on his Steeda LCA install.. Your hotlinks are the best!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Scott

Scott, two words of advice, one side at a time, and torque it on the ground, not in the air. I took both LCA off at the same time and the install was not fun trying to align the holes for the bolts. If you torque the bolts with the suspension dangling, it will load up the bushings and can bind them.

Thanks for the help. Yeap I doing one side at a time so the rear axle can't swing on me. The driver's side is done but not torque'd down yet. Had to button up the garage for the night because of the thunderstorms rolling thru. I will do the passenger side tomorrow after work. So far this is an easier install than I was expecting.

Yeap the install is done and was way easier than I first thought. Glad I had your install to give me guidance since I never got any installation instructions with the Roush LCA's But they look great...but I have to be honest I can't feel anything different in my butt. Maybe I need to get those 4:10's and another 150 rwhp!!!!!!! Right now I am working on the 4:10's

Thanks for the help!!

Did anyone else choose to zip-tie or just leave the e-brake cable flapping? I slipped it through the slot on my passenger side LCA since it seemed loose enough of a fit. Has anyone had their cable actually torn off?
