Started installing the vortech. Thought I'd post some pics to see how it was coming along. First time I've done something like this. So far it's been, lets just say, interesting.

But darn am I excited to get this in!

Before anything was removed.

Here's one of a mistake. :bang: Sheered the head off. Looks I'll be using the lower radiator hose to drain from now on.

Can you keep a running time total? I am thinking of buying the Vortech non-intercooled kit and would love to install it myself. I just need to fit it into my schedule.

Those are the famous Charge Motion Control plates. Since you have them out, you might want to consider the delete plates available from Steeda.

I'll try. Doing what I've done so far has taken me about 6 hours. Yea, I know. Way too long. But I've been taking my time and came across a few hiccups. But, have a friend that's giving me a hand when I need it.

The instructions that came with the supercharger aren't the best. Might try and do a write up once I've finished. Oh, this is the aftercooled kit.

Yeah, it's a big help to those that are thinking about doing this.

I don't think I've have the patience to stop and take pictures while I was doing it.

Funny you should say that. Normally I don't have patience.

Picture of the steel insert removed from coolant crossover tube. Directions said to heat and twist off using a vice. Hacksaw used in the right places worked fine.

Here's the modified coolant crossover tube. Plug should be flush, :bang: but it works.

New Thermostat hosing. Should do this after Mounting bracket installation, instead of before like instructions. Gets in the way of a bolt for mounting bracket. Ended up taking out.
