Staggered setup & Xcal2 Revs /mile Adjustment

Ok, that might sound like the $1 question of the day but I am getting ready to swap out my 18's stock OEM polished bullits (by the way, they're up for sale w/ tires!) for a new set of 24mm AR/Shelby Razors 20's currently on their way. I went with a staggered setup of Nitto 555's as 255/35/20 up front and 265/35/20 out back. That's for the background of it.

Now the killer question: when I adjust my REVS /MILE with the XCal2, what should I base it on... the front wheels diameter or the rear ones? In other words, where does the car's PCM pick revs from to calculate speed & mileage.. the front or the back wheels? I'm telling you, the $1 question...

1st instinct tells me its the rear wheels, pretty sure the sensor is located in tranny.

Hi Robbie. Ok, fine... I'll take REAR as the answer! If I get speeding tickets I'll put it on your back alright

I ordered them from RT Tire (www.rttire.com) for $1,099 shipped and they kindly included a free kit of new lug nuts. You will need these. They had 10 sets of chrome Razors in 24mm offset as of this morning. The guy I got in touch with is Tim. These guys seem VERY knowledgeable about their business.

They have both offsets: 40mm and 24mm. I have done extensive research and read tons of threads to know what would fit on my car given the look I wanted to obtain. As you can see from my sig I have the Pro-Kit on. I wanted a wider, meaner look while avoiding the tire rubbing issues. This very setup will do just that. I hope my info will help as a THANK YOU.

As for the Nitto's, they will only ship on Tuesday so I still have a few hours to back out. They're supposed to be great tires for the price. They're also the only ones under $200 a piece that come both in 255 and 265. I don't know... if someone could chime in and give his impressions about them that would be appreciated.

I'm really afraid the 285's are gonna rub with the Pro-Kit if I get in a pot hole. Is that your car? It does look really good. But again remember that I am going for 24mm offset and I have seen too much inconsistency in feedbacks from those with 275's and 285's and 24mm offset. Some guy with 275's even went back to 255's. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't wanna take a chance if that makes any sense.

Yes that is my car and I am running the Pro Kit and have never had any rubbing issues what so ever and that is even with 4 adults in the car.

My offsets are 34 and 40mm

Thanks for the compliment

These are very informative pictures from another TMS member that runs 24mm offset and 255's on all four corners. See how close to the edge it is out back already. While it looks flush up front, it looks like the back could take a tad more width... like with 265's (43/100th inch wider). Wider it may very well rub on bad roads. Hence my setup. Now if you ran the Sportslines instead of the Pro-Kit, I would not even consider the 24mm offset. I do get that you have no rubbing issues with 40mm offset out back though. It makes perfect sense.

They won't rub. I have 285's on the rear and 255's on the front. I also had the Eibach Pro-Kit installed.

I have the pro kit with 295 on the rear and never had a rub once. Even during an autocross event where you are really pushing the car hard on a track that is bumpy in some spots it never rubbed once.

Are you running a 24mm offset?

I also came up with 11.22 on a tire calculator site as well.

The 285 is the width in mm. If you divide it by 25.4 , the number of mm in an inch , you get 11.2205" ...
