Lot's of open road for that kind of stuff here in AZ too. Heck, not even that far out of town either
I really do need to get one of those G-Timers. The one time I know I took it over 145, I was certainly curious as to just how fast it was but had no way of knowing.
It took a couple of seconds for the speedo to register again, that's all I know.
I'm still fairly close to stock too, just axle backs, an air filter and a tune, nothing else.

And I won't loose any sleep about an unprovable BS internet claim. Magazine hold way much more credibility than a guy claiming to run 175 mph in a 3.90 geared GT with 313 rwhp.
