Why not? Porsche has one. Besides I drive in a lot of traffic, so I don't want a stick. The automatic is just about as quick in the quarter mile.

 

probally becuase a smg gearbox is more expensive and porches are quite a bit more expensive than a mustang.

The Geartronic (sequential) transmission in my previous car (Volvo S60 2.5T) was an extra $3000 option. The shift times in semi-automatic mode were even longer than in the manual which I had tested. I used it 99% of the time in full-auto mode. I've also tested an Audi S4 and a Porsche Carrera GT4 with semi-auto trannies, both were big disappointments! I'm sure I wouldn't prefer any of those sequential transmissions in a Mustang, over a manual.
