Small bolt on questions

What do you guys think about pulleys, tb spacers, and some of these other cheap mods for something to do to a mustang in the evening or small weekend project? The only reason I'm hesitant is bc I've heard things, like everyone else, about pulleys causing charging issues and tb spacers getting worse gas mileage in town, etc. in the end should I just save and get Cai and tuner? (I feel like that's what y'all will go with haha)

Throttle Body spacers are a joke. There is absolutely no gain from having it. I have steeda underdrive pulleys on my car and I have had no issues whatsoever. They provide a mild horsepower increase and are worth the money in my opinion. But I wouldn't recommend doing them without a CAI and tune first. They won't really be noticeable by themselves.

Get the tuner package from AM first. Might as well put a tow hitch on your car too if you're gonna get a TB spacer lol.

IMO, CAI and tune FIRST... then all the other stuff. I know it's pricy but they are the single most thing to bolt on and get an improvement that you can feel ( i know a super charger or turbo will do more but come on guy's ) I started with a K&N cold air because I got it for a steal and you can use it without a tune. It was nice and made the car louder but the Stang really woke up after the tune. So again In my opinion get the CAI and tune first.

Agreed, CAI and tuner is worth the wait to save for. The K&N would be good as a quick fix, but you'll spend more in the long run. I ran a K&N and it was a nice upgrade, but when I bought a tuner and it was like a whole different car. I ended up getting a FRPP CAI after that for a good increase in HP, and I would have saved a lot of money buying the tuner/CAI as a package.

Also if you're thinking of pulleys, it's going to be a minor upgrade and install is a pain - you'll need air tools. I still haven't gotten mine installed and I got them in December.

+2 on the CAI and tune. I was happy with my C&L Racer way back when.

Next SOTP mod for me was gears.

If going FI is in your future, stop there and save up for it and don't waste any more money on other mods.

(I have not bought my bolt ons w my money, I flipped/traded for new mods)

But if I was buying mods I would go w suspension first... Because getting your rear end to hook up will go along way... What I would have liked to do (and still plan on doing)
Aluminum drive shaft
Aluminum fly wheel
Beefy clutch
Lca
Uca
Gears
And a tune

I know for a fact the the above mod list the car w the above mods will 9x out of 10 beat a fully bolt on modded car.... I've witnessed and seen wright ups on folks running mid to high 12s w this set up....

Well if you think about it... it's not that special. I mean, just look at the sheer odds, that he might post in one of your threads. He has over 10,000 posts here! The possibility of him posting in one of your threads increases exponentially the longer he's alive!
