Merry Christmas! I just finished installing my new set of SLP loudmouths on my stang! and were they the right choice? 150% YES! I still have a smile on my face from driving just about all day and a full tank of gas! I was amazed at how quiet they were when idling, and then when u want to really hear it just get on the road and WOT holy mess! I cant stop driving now!

Mine are on the way, I always liked them because you could hear them at idle, I guess I'll have to get a mid pipe to actually be able to hear that loud idle.

Well u can hear the idle really really well from the back... but its very subdued until u step on it... the drone is there at 2300 rpm or around there but it goes away quick... my girlfriend said she heard me exit her neighborhood inside her house when I left WOT and she lives far away from the entrance of her neighborhood! I have been driving with my windows down all day in 30 degree weather! I love these things!

Now just think, you love them from the drivers seat right? Try letting one of your trusted friends drive off in your baby and have them step on it a little as you stand back and listen! I love listening to Angelina drive off. This weekend I let my nephew drive his friend around the block and I heard him the whole way aound. LOL gotta love them LOUDmouths! Congrats on your decision and enjoy!

Why????????

I was almost set on the borla/frpp exhuast, then all of a sudden I hear all these good things about the slp's that make me think I should get them. This decision is killing me :bang:

Sorry stang9325 to make your decision harder but someone on here once said, "This is the way a Mustang is suppose to sound!"

z71mudder199: You MUST drive through a tunnel and step on it a little! Just be careful your face doesn't crack from the grin you're gonna get!

SLP's will get you noticed. The other day while sitting behind this guy in a new beautiful dark blue Maxima, both of us turning left, I give him a little rev instead of the horn to wake him up. He proceeds to make the left turn and shoots me a double look, gives me a and then a needless to say it made my day.

How about "I Love it Loud" by Kiss:

Loud, I wanna hear it loud
Right between the eyes
Loud, I wanna hear it loud
Don't want no compromise

Iv'e heard Flowmaster giving you about 6HP. Does the Loudmouths give you the same HP gain or just the sound? If it's just for sounds I will go with Flowmaster.

6hp is a stretch for any axleback... more like 2 or 3 at most. They are all so close, that looks and sound should be your deciding factors, not hp gains. Here is some good reading just in case you missed it a few months ago:

Day 2 with the SLPs was once again an amazing day! I love the look on peoples faces when i shift into second and floor it by them... I also set off my first car alarm today going down the road by shifting from second into third then just steadily adding power... the low end of the exhaust note set it off! It made my day for sure... then a 2004 mustang owner that had his car modded out raced me and when I won he came up to me and said my car sounded absolutely amazing! I am still all smiles! I have a little exhaust leak but a little tightening of the clamps and it will be all good! I am still all smiles today! and the women love it! SLP all the way without a doubt people!
