On Brent's website under his sound files he shows the Pypes Violator mufflers. By the sound on that video, no "trumpets" seem present. I sent him an email to ask about this setup. No reply as of yet. Will keep you guys informed.

Trumpets don't appear at WOT. At about 23 seconds into that video, you can hear the car at part throttle. That's when you can hear the trumpeting. It sounds different than at WOT.

Suprised that you don't like the Mac's. Installed mine with the h pipe and I love the sound.

Do you really like the sound at partial throttle around 2500 RPM's?

EDIT: Check out this thread I started http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?showtopic=43516
This is the only problem I had with the install, do you know what the deal is?

At first I just had the Mac A/B's, then I added the h-pipe. It sounded awesome until the partial throttle. I now reverted to stock mufflers and the "trumpets" either subsided or diappeared completely.
As to your thread you say you started, I never encountered that problem. Tight as a nun's you know what.

Yup, you're right Don. I put my stockers back on to test it out. No "trumpets". Just to darn quiet LOL! Now I have to search for the perfect chambered axle backs. I wish I was rich cause this is getting pricey. :bang:

Sorry to highjack!!!
Never fear my friend...
I had collapsed a baffle inside of the muffler somehow and they are rattling all to heck...I mean so bad I want to rip them off!!! I called Flowmaster today and they are sending out a replacement set as we speak with no questions asked! They are sending them to one of their certified dealers, and their paying for them to get installed. I would rather install them myself, but since it was a warranty issue, Flowmaster said I had to have them install it. Fine with me!
I have no idea what caused it. But I'll find out if it is a fluke or not with this set.

Did what to who and how? I'd like to know more about this as I have the H on order with the flows already in place.

I have stock manifolds with the offroad H and the Bassani aft-cat kit. My car only trumphets from 2500 to 2700 rpm, and is audible only below about 40 mph; its most noticeable when I'm poochin' around town shifting right in that rpm range. However if I'm giving it mid to full throttle, either while driving in one gear or shifting between gears, the sound is hardly evident because of the very limited RPM range.
I put the stockers back on just to see, and the sound is either eliminated or inaudible. But really the Bassani kit does a good job maintaining the trumphets, and is still deep and LOUD at WOT. I'm a Borla fan and have used their products on my previous cars and my other 'Stang, but for this setup I'm going to keep my Bassanis.
The one kit that would be interesting to test with this o/r pipe is the Corsa kit. It has no drone at all and is quiet at idle, fairly loud at WOT. Too bad it's a big chunck of change......

And you talked me out of ever trying the Corsa.. haha. I don't mind drone (with 4.10s, drone is not an issue anyway), and I don't want a quiet idle. :nono:

Point taken on the Corsa regarding the quiet idle, however some people might it. Keep searchin', you'll find something that will work for your taste . If I didn't live across the country, I would let you try the Bassani. Maybe you can hook up with some one locally.
