SLP loudmouth
Hey, i just ordered the slp loudmouth axleback for my 05' mustang gt. I wasnt looking for power when getting these, mostly just sound. But does anyone know if there are any noticable power gains from these?

They sound awesome, in a 'the gates of hell have opened' sort of way while going through tunnels, underpasses and tollbooth lanes. Only problem is that retards think you are revving them or racing when you aren't.

thats good to know. the only time i've heard them are on clips on youtube. i want a meaner sound. i want all the rice burners with little NA 4 & 6 bangers to stop challenging me. its a waste of gas racing them.....

As much as I want LM's for the sound, with a stall converter that flashes to 4,000 rpm's plus and 4.10 gears my GT would be way too loud all the time, and I don't need the PoPo looking my way - especially with the way I drive!

The Loudmouth sounds great with a stock midpipe and manifolds. But I've heard a few with long tubes, offroad midpipes, and wow do they sound like ***. It's just noise with no distinct exhaust note. Just my .002.

I agree with that. I liked the way they sounded by themselves but when I added a mid pipe they sounded like pooh.

Now that the body style has been around long enough people don't pay much attention to them, I still get compliments on the sound and color.
A guy in a c6 followed me home to ask what exhaust I had on it.
As for street challenges, since the loud mouths I rarely get them anymore. The occaisional "beater" just revving to be silly wanting to hear me take off but other than that it's been a long time since anyones seriously bugged me in traffic.
And I don't know if it's just my area or what but I've never gotten a second look from the police, well other than the time I startled a motorcycle cop in a parking structure when I fired it up.
Exhaust is stock though, just the loudmouths. Sounds awesome.

The local cop sitting down the block fired the siren up one day as I started my car. Other than that no problems from the fuzz.

Not a problem. Then it won't take long for you to get fed up with every toothless hillbilly in an f-body, or 4x4 with straight pipes trying to race you. It became clear to me that after that the only solution is a whipple.
