Slp loud mouths came in just put them on.
<--- thats what I look like right now. I can't believe how good these sound, the sound clips do not do them justice! Ok, they are very LOUD...VERY LOUD but sound fantastic. No popping like heard in the sound clips, just raw V8 power. I hope I don't get pulled over for them.Installation was really pretty simple and straight forward. All my good tools are at work and being the camando I am I figgured I didn't need any fancy wrenches and used some odd ball cruddy open ended ones I had in my junk drawer to do the job. Save yourself the hassle and get a decent 1/2 and 5/8 sockets and open/box end wrentches it will go much smoother.
The tips look great, mine I adjusted so they stick out even less than the stock did. Looks alot cleaner to me that way. As for quality, well everything fit however there was no notch in the tubes to mate up with the midpipes. I'm sure thats by design to help make lining them up easier. The tips are very nicely done, dual walled with the taper on the inside for a substantial look and they are long which looks nicer to me than some of the shorter tips I've seen that go from 2.5" diameter to a 4" tip and are only like 5" long.
As you can guess they are loud, but sound much more creamy than I thought. No rough raspy sounds just a low rumble that sounds like it should. Sounds similar to a winston cup err nextel cup car.
Needless to say I am very pleased!

I ordered mine and it came with no instructions and no torca clamps to hook them up with. I'm not sure if this is a problem with SLP or the company I ordered them from, but I am disapointed.

I'm going to give them a chance to fix it before I start spreading the word on it.
Without having the proper tools it took me about an hour. Once you get the stock mufflers off the rest is really fast.
I bought them through LMPerformance.com had zero problems and delivered as scheduled.
The bit of instructions they give you is pretty worthless. I'd suggest just taking one at a time. Loosen the clamp holding the muffler but leave it a little snug, then remove the bolts to the hanger virbration supressors. Loosen the clamp the rest of the way and pull the muffler off.
I left the rubber vibration supressor thingies on the muffler hangers just to give me an idea of how they go but you don't really have to, they are marked "bottom" and only go one way.
The tip with the long hanger is passenger side.
You may want to tighten the clamps up a bit before you climb under the car just to save you the extra effort of doing them under the car.
A helper would be useful to help keep the tips in place when you clamp them down, they move some and I had to keep climbing out from under the car re-adjust then get back under. Also to get a second opinion weather or not you have them even.
So far they only seem to resoonate inside the car at 2100 RPM (not as bad as my friends 68 stock road runner though)and you can feel the vibrations through the floor board, I like that though.
Just cruising around town you can keep it pretty subdued, but my gawd it sounds so freaking awesome when you jump on it, especially if you've got some load on it like climbing a hill oh man
Gives me goose bumps now, is it wrong to lust after your own car?

I hope I don't get pulled over for them.
I've had mine for a little over a month and "knock on wood" haven't gotten stopped yet. Two days after I had them installed I pull up to a four way stop by the courthouse with a cop behind me and one at every other stop sign. I know I can control it but what's the fun in that?
Besides, I still haven't put my front plate on.....I have a feeling its only a matter of time before the exhaust or the plate (or both) get me pulled over.

If you go to lmperformance.com they have a photo of the system. It's just two 2.5" diameter mandrel bent pipes with a hanger welded on them, and two ~12" long tips with a hanger welded on each. The kit comes with 4 clamps to hold the new pipes to the mid pipe and the tips to the pipe.
I have the Mangaflows. Do you think SLP Loud mouths are louder. Personally I would like mine a little louder.
I have the JBA catbacks with headers and I've been followed at least a dozen times since I installed them. If I were younger, I would have prolly been pulled over for them by now. It's a funny feeling when every turn you make, the COP stays right behind you. So far, so good though
The tips on the SLP look good!

How is the sound inside the cab?
