Should I paint the Mufflers or get some Polished Magneflow ? Hi guys I have seen posts from you guys that have painted your
mufflers black so they you can not see them. I have a V6 with the Dual
GT Mufflers on it. I was think of maybe getting some of the Polished
Mangaflows

Would these give the car a deeper better sound. "not loud"

or is it better off just painting the stock GT's black?

I think chrome stuff usually looks better, especially exhaust wise, because you've got chrome tips, and it might look odd, if those are black.

I have the Magnaflow Pacs....they are the polished SS. Look and perform perfect.
Cant praise them enough!

The Pacs are a tad louder and are round.

If you like the sound like I do, upgrade. I painted my stock set and they looked great until I deleted them completely with the pypes system.

I have the magnaflows for $644.99 shipped to the door for the Magnapacks. They're the nicest ones out there for aggressive tone IMHO.

I have the regular magnaflow axle backs for $429.99 shipped to the door. They're my (2)nd favorite mellow tone next to the GTA's.

if you dont want real loud, but want low muscular sound the regular magnaflows (not the round packs) are a great choice..I have them on my GT and love the sound..doesn't pee the neighbours off too much!

I 'm taking my Magnaflows off & replacing them with Boom Tubes. I had them since new & put about 10K on them. The mags are an excellent quality, great sounding set, but, I want to **** off my neighbors. (The Elephant people live upstairs)... Seriously, good tone, low drone.

Ok so it look like the Reg. Magnaflows are a good pick for no drone deeper
sound for the V6 and not loud. Plus they come in polished :-)

Paint 'em! I have Hooker AeroChambers and from the factory they're highly polished. I scuffed them up, put some hi-temp primer and a few coats of hi-temp flat black. Now all you see are the tips.

Here you go. Just picked these up from a fellow member. He had painted them. Did a good job, too. It does a great job of hiding the muffler. They're the regular Magnaflow axlebacks. I had the Violators with OR H and it was just too loud for the street. Put the stockers back on, and too quiet. These are just about right. Very deep, that's for sure. Beautiful tips, too. They're not polished up, as this was just before the track yesterday.

You want to paint your OEM mufflers so people can't see them, or get mufflers that are shiny and scream "Look at me!"????

I personally prefer polished Stainless Steel myself. Like my Pypes Violators for example

I painted the rear of the muffler so the tail pipes would stand out more and you wouldn't see
just the end of the muffler piece.

Here is the stock muffler:

Here the old vs new:

And here's the GTA's on my car:
