05-07 GT's are all set at 6250 rev limiter, it cuts the fuel out. way better than electrical cut out, no backfires, pops, raw fuel getting dumped into the exhaust...

In the software it appears to be enabled but it is set to 7000rpm's.

I'll take a few requests as I have a auto and it isn't in that software. This is just a tester to see if it works, please only if you have ordered from me before and reference either your previous order number and/or your list of mods and calibration code. If you just list your order number please let me know if you've changed anything since your order.

This should be neat, I know on the 03/04 Cobra's most ask me to turn it off because it becomes more annoying then anything but they come on at like 3000 rpm's under light loads.

Thanks, Doug.

According to the owner's manual on the Focus 5-speed manuals, the shift light indicates when to shift for max fuel economy, so it could get annoying for someone who drives their car for anything other than max fuel efficiency.

Doug - feel free to test on my tunes...I just spoke with you yesterday morning about them...Order #535....would you set it in all 3 tunes or only 1? If only one the 91 Octane Race would be the best and I'm guessing you want to set it 100 - 200RPM's before the rev limiter kick in?

I'm setting mine to 6125 RPM (revlimiter set to 6375 RPM).

I have the Pro Racer Package. I thought all the Mustang GT modders had one?
SCT hasn't made Advantage III available to Pro Racer Package users yet, but I'm rolling with Advantage 2.9.2.1 which still gets the job done. I haven't had a chance to test the tune because of the weather.

Doug,

I will be willing to try it out as well. Order number was order #6 and I have not changed anything other than tire size since I got the tunes.

Anybody have any luck with this? Doug turned my shift light on at 3000 RPM to test it out. If it worked, I would have changed it to 5500 or something, but the arrow never came on.

When I turn on my key, everything lights up on the dash for a test. The arrow never comes on - even after the new tune. Maybe it's not hooked up to light no matter what?

There is another section for the shift light but I couldn't figure it out. I believe it has something to do with load and RPM but I'm not sure since I dont have the advantage software in front of me right now. It would be interesting for the tuners to compare the GT factory calibration with that of the GT500 factory calibration with respect to the shift_light parameters. I have not had a chance to test out the tune on the GT due to the weather.

Well, after the new tune with the shift light turned on, the arrow didn't light up when revving it up in the driveway, or when under load.

Maybe someone needs to take apart the dash to see if there's anything back there.

I tried looking for an actual shift light bulb in the FSM and couldn't find anything. It's probably tied into the smart junction box, bussed electrical center, or the multiplexing network center and not listed separately.

Did anyone ever find a video for the GT500 showing off a functional shift light? If they are confirmed to work on a GT500, then a tuner might want to look through the GT500's calibration to see how the shift_light parameters are set up.

the shift light does work on the GT500 i saw it with my own eyes and it is cool, but if i were racing or even was just having some spirited driving, it is too small and insignifigant to ever notice. it was not that bright at all

Do you happen to recall at what RPM it activated (ballpark)?

on the GT500, the up arrow lights up, as well as the SVT logo in the middle of the tach
The shift point itself is adjustable, and you can switch the warning been on and off.
however it is set to 6000RPM (Redline) by default.
i think i have a video of it somewhere.. let me see what i can find

Edit: Found it
