shift ball ?
shift ball ?
In my 07 CS/GT the ball is loose you can move it right to lift easy. I have never messed with one of the new car can you just keep turning it to get it tight? I tried it but the boot moved with it.
I'm not familar with the CS/GT shifter ball... isn't it metal..??
Take a small flat blade screwdriver, a round pointed but not sharp tool or maybe just your fingers and remove the boot from the boot adapter, being careful not to scratch the adapter if you use a tool. Then you should be able to screw the ball down tighter. Replace the boot in the adapter.
If the problem is because of loose fitting threads, you might want to use a piece of 1/2" wide teflon plumbers tape (couple of times around) from just below the first thread on the shaft to about 1/4" from the last thread, that should prevent it from vibrating loose. If it is a plastic **** like the standard OEM 05-07, I wouldn't recommend using loctite.
