Had my car tuned today. Mine is still all stock with the HC trap in and running on 87 oct.. fuel. The tune was a custom tune from JDM Engineering Inc.
Max. RWHP went from 259.0 to 272.9
Max Torque went from 259.7 to 287.4
It also got rid of the throttle delay and helped with the A/F mixture.
It was 14.9 stock and after the tune was 12.2
I will try and attached the Dyno sheet.
Let me know what you think.

And yes this is an Automatic!!!!!

Glad to see another automatic. Do you plan more mods? And I guess you tuned with a SCT or did they down load something for you if that is even possible. I am new at this tune stuff. Thanks. I go on the 12th of March for my 1st dyno test.

I hope your experience with JDM is better than most. He has a bad habit of blowing alot smoke and your wallet....Hopefully he will just use a generic file and not actually attempt a tune on your car.

Had several friends have work done and it seemed there was always more work to do than they had requested or excepted and then the bill was jacked up. And its know through out the Lightning community that his business practices are just not above board. To many stories to post. But when I see his name I would go the other way. But since its a brand new car and you are only getting a tune installed I'd just opt for the tune, pass on the dyno... His tuning ability is not as inflated as he would like to think it is. He will most likely just use a pre-tuned file and you will be ok. Just be careful ! There are many excellent SCT dealer sources to choose from. Choose wisely !

28 pounds of extra neck snapping torque!? Now THAT is how you tune a car.

Congrats

Black Magic, I am thinking about doing a CAI, maybe the JLT that I have been hearing good things about from several people. JDM did a custom tune that was loaded and sent to my Tuner. Two tunes on the Xcalibrator that I can switch to and the Factory tune, and also one empty for future use.

Elvism, looking forward to seeing your results and Dyno.
Good luck with your tune. I am sure you will be happy with the results!!!
Shifts are smoooooth and the throttle delay is a thing of the past.

You got me. B) I like to look at all the data, compare what is working, and want to improve my own times. I am old school and crunch numbers, 330' times, mph out the back door etc. Even stick vs Auto info. Just gives me something to do. I enjoy racing. And yes I have a couple of spreadsheets even with your data on there. Got to see who's the Boss :worship:

What is the last jump in torque and hp on your graph between 5 and 6k? Mine was doing the same thing and that doesn't match the curve that other have been posting. Did you go into overdrive?? Any explanation for that last spike?

Blue Heaven, I don't know what that was either. It was on all 7 Dynoruns that I did. Is yours an Automatic also? I think most of the graphs I have seen have been Sticks. The Tuner didn't know what that was either.

Steve, yes, mine is also an automatic and I got the same spike but attributed it to the bad 4.10 gear i have. I can't post my sheet yet as i have no scanner and i'm waiting on my tech to email the sheets. I did my pulls all in 4th gear from 65mph, and consistantly got the spike at 5K rpm right around 90 mph.

Any other auto owners who's had their cars dyno'd I appreciate a link to your dyno sheets to see if you had spikes like that around 5k in 4th gear.
