Hello All,

This is my first post since joining and very happy to have found this forum. I have a SCT Tuner Ford Performance Model 3000 and I have never used it. I got the tuner with the car and wanted to learn more about it and maybe someone here has had experience with it. Any help is greatly appreciated. I did find the website form the manufacture. I know it is an older tuner but I believe still usable. I am looking to have a more aggressive idle on my 2007 Mustang GT. Any help is much appreciated!

 

What do you mean by more aggressive idle? If you are looking for that old school idle lope, I don't think the SOHC 4.6 can do that with a tune like the DOHC 5.0 does with a ghost cam tune.

 

Yep thats what i am kind of looking for. My buddy has a 2012 that he did that to his and I was wondering if I could do to my 2007.

 

I don't think you can do it with the 4.6.

 

that is my understanding also -- the "ghost cam tune" uses the 2 overhead cams in the Coyote to produce the lope sound; 4.6 3V only has one cam (per side) so it can't do it

I'm pretty sure that old tuner is still "usable" but I don't know if anyone still writes tunes for it
