If you want to read about the 4.10 gears and the SCT Excalibrator experience as well as the dyno info, I have it all documented here (see page 4 for the Dyno/Tune). If you cannot find your answers there, just PM me.

2005RedGT,
Thanks for posting your info. I'll be it did make the Stang a lot more responsive. Unfortunately, the way the shop did your dyno curves makes them almost undecipherable, at least for me . I can make sense of a curve that has rpm on the x-axis and hp/tq on the y-axis. The way your shop did them with "time" on the x-axis makes it real hard to figure out.

Yeah I much prefer the dyno print outs of a dynojet based setup. Looks like you made good numbers though. I am a big fan of SCT software and tuning. Doug904 on this board tuned my car using it, and WOT and normal driving, the car has never been better!

2005RedGT: How wide are your rear wheels? 8,9,10? Did you have to get a specific offset? Thanks!

How do you like the steeda springs?

Perfect drive - like on rails. The are the perfect height.

"...hard to hook up. " <- do you mean install ? Maybe, I had a shop do mine. I was not about to take my front end apart - I always end up with extra nuts or bolts. lol. J/K.

Hey nice car

Since the wheels are 18" and chrome (are they chrome?), do you know how much heavier they are over the stock 17" inch wheels?

They are really nice. Also how much did the rims along with the tires run ya?

Thanks

Photos are great. Nice ride.
For me this report /documentation is worthless.
No information as to cost of parts or installation.
Dyno info not understandable.
See no great HP/torque improvements with tune. ( Lack of clear information )
What is the true purpose of this posting?
Are you Mustang Source advertiser or just plugging a business?

Hey Mongoos,

The information is worthless to you, thats fine. I am posting my diary of my build.

That same information on that page is also the exact answers to questions I have been asked. I am posting that data and pics so that others, that may not be as experieced in this process, can benefit - from my sucess and failures.

As far as the Dyno, there were good gains for a simple tune ... your opinion matters not.

The main reason for the post: SCT tuning for the 05 is not very clear on their page on what / how / etc. I am simply trying to help others. I am not selling anything; however, I will plug any person that helped me achieve my goals. You say it is worthless with out cost ? Well, somepeople feel its worthless with the details of what, how, what company, how can I find it ... thats why there are names and links.
