No.. to me ANY non-factory emblem (other than maybe a discreet supercharger one) is :gay:

My SCT emblem lives in its box... I'll give it toa ricer so he can stick it on his car with all of the other useless emblems.

Another Torch Red GT parked next to me this morning at Church and it had an SCT emblem above the driver's side tail light. I tried to talk to him once the service got out, but he was a total joke.

Guy: *Starts Car, rolls windows down*
Me: *Walk over and lean down* I love the car, sounds good.
Guy *Gives me a blank stare as if to say Who are you?*
Me: I said I like your car.
Guy *Gives a half-hearted smile*
Me: Do you go on any car forums?
Guy: *Gives another look like Who are you, why are you talking to me, and what is a forum?*
Me: ...Do you get on any internet car sites?
Guy: No

I took the sticky cover part and painted black, then put it over my third brake light, I'm trying to decide if I like it or not....

Yep! Put mine in the engine compartment adjacent to where the SCT program changes do their work.

When I get my programmer from Doug this winter, I plan on putting the SCT emblem on the black radiator cover (that also covers the foglight grill) I have several decals from the companies whos mods I use, and placed them on the cover as well, and it actually looks cool.

I did not have one in my box but I do not do free advertisement for anyone on my car, shirt or ball cap. All those things use to be free. What happened. Now you have to pay to advertise for them? What a crock.
Are performance stickers a good idea on a car under warranty?

That sticker looks great on my tool box.

Unless a company is going to pay me or give me a free or discounted part I am not going to advertise for them on my car.

Things that make you go hmmmm...

Are white letter tires considered free advertisement?
Is it considered free advertisement to list your mods in your sig?

I saw a ricer the other day with a gigantic Nike swoop covering the rear hatchback window.

I see nothing wrong with advertising your mods on your car if its what you like. "Hurst Equiped" comes to mind as the best classic example. However, advertising Nike on a car seems ridiculous, IMO.

Any badges and stickers that I get either go on my toolbox or on the radiator cover under the hood.

When I go s/c, I dont think i'll stick a badge on either.. it's like giving a car thief a menu with lunchtime specials.

That sticker belongs on your tool box, not your car.

My whole thing about putting the product decals on my radiator cover is 2 fold: 1st, I got the idea from Maverick here on the boards, and I too thought it looked real cool. 2nd reason, it gives someone a reason to come up to you at car shows to ask questions. Just recently, at a show, a fellow came up and said "I see you got the Borla sticker under your hood. I got a 2005 and was looking into a new exhaust. How does it sound?" I told him it sounded real sweet, and proceeded to start the car so he could hear it. The decals are a great way to chat with people who may be thinking of getting one of the mods I have for their own car, and can ask a question or 2. I'm always there to lend a helping hand, or answer a question.

I find the emblem is twice the size it needs to be to mount on the dashboard somewhere, so it's on the bench in my garage. It does look the correct size for exterior tail mounting but someone would just steal it probably where I live.

I paint the letters on my drag tires so I can see them spin on video at the track
