sweet news blast. thans for the update. SCT only comes w/ 3 different tunes...sounds very limited to me......and the same amount of money? You've got to be kidding me? What about the JET plug in tuner....I guess you only get one different tune on that one, but it is cheaper.

Just noticed that you are from Valdosta. I use to live there about 3 years ago in college. Just wondering if you lived there then.
Does this car look familiar?
Use to be outside of Advance Auto on Ashley Street, and at Discount Auto at the corner of Bemis and Northside. Just curious if I knew you, I think I knew about everyone w/ a Mustang in that area back then.

I spoke with JET about their module..They claim 16-19 hp and 20lb-ft of torque with their module as the average they have seen in testing.It plugs inline with the factory computer and "enhances" the signals coming out of the ECU and according to them does not reflash the computer..Thus, the benefit would be if you take the vehicle to the dealer for service you could remove the module and the dealer would not know it was there....according to them
That would be good for warranty reasons if this is actually the case and the performance #'s are accurate

I think the Diablo Predator programmer is a better deal...here's why...
1.) No set amount of tunes.
2.) You can tune it yourself.
3.) One time costs as long as you can do the tuning on your own (which it is pretty user-friendly), as opposed to S T where you can only tune 3 times and that has to be done at an SCT tuner.
4.) From the description it does everything the SCT does and more.
Just my 2 cents...

Does the Predator save the stock tune for you in case you have to reload it? The SCT does. I know they both have a few bugs to work out yet. The Xtreme tuning software is INOP right now but they are still working on that. I am undecided about getting the predator or wait for the SCTX2 to get here.

Not a huge deal, it's just that this topic has been covered a thousand times.
The Xcal holds "THREE" tunes plus the factory tune. You can flash your OBD-II a hundred times every day, but you can only pick from the "THREE" stored tunes or the factory tune. The tunes can be be changed by a shop or your PC if you have a cable.
I wouldn't trust that shop you talked to if they are giving you bad info.

Ahh, I understand now. So you CAN tune it at home if you have a laptop and feel comfortable tuning?
It was when the SCT first came out, maybe he didn't explain it correctly or just didn't know, no idea...

Got my diablo about 2 hours ago. No real noticeable Seat of the Pants power, just better throttle response, and the car seems to be able to still pull at higher RPM's. Has alot air/fuel ratio and timing features, just need to familiarize my self w/ what does what.

Yes!
1. You open your tune on your PC. (.xtr file)
2. Make necessary adjustments.
3. Save this new file to PC.
4. With PC cable upload the new file into your SCT device.
5. Flash your car with the new file!
