Thumbs up

I ordered an OEM GT take-off front anti-sway bar from Saleen and they sent me one of their new Saleen braces by mistake. I wanted to replace the OEM brace on my V6 with a OEM GT brace but got this one instead. Their are sending all the mounting harware and bushings for their piece (thay don't want it back!). Anyone put a Saleen brace on their GT? I was wondering if you could really tell the difference.

I have Saleen's full suspension kit. Of course it's currently in the shop being put on, but I can answer that in about a week.

Krazed,

How did the Saleen suspension work out? Did you need anything else to get the camber right? How does it ride? I just got my Saleen suspension kit in and will be installing it in a week or two.

I've had my Saleen suspension kit on for a month. Very good ride, more controlled under acceleration, far less body roll in turns. You will need an alignment of course, and while you're at it you might as well put on adjustable camber bolts. I put on these (SPC # 81260), they cost $20 for the pair:

Just what I was looking for. Is there any easy place to purchase them online? Do I need to order two sets? Thanks

I'd love to see an article comparing all the suspension kits....with options from Eibach, FRPP, Saleen, Steeda, etc, it would be great to separate the wheat from the chaff or to find the best for a reasonable price. Personally, I'm leaning to the FRPP kit.

If you call them, they'll point you to a local dealer. They're actually pretty common. the bolts for the 05-06 Stangs fit many other cars. You only need one set.

I could not agree more. We need MMFF to do a full comparison... FRPP vs Saleen vs Roush vs Steeda vs whoever. What we read on here is only one view point of one type of kit. I'm going to send them an email right now.

I would also love to see a good review. I wanted the Eibach kit but it's back ordered and goes a little lower heightwise than I can afford with the side exhaust. I chose the Saleen because its a kit, drops about 1in, and I have heard good things. I think I would be happy with any of them. ncblack, thanks for the info.

I don't get along too well around them ever since a few decided to take up home on my freshly painted truck a few years back. The truck had just been painted that very morning.

I subscribe to MMFF and 5.0, but I would like one of them to do a suspension comparison. I expect they will get around to it as 6.0 did a great CAI comparison several months ago.

Judging from the inside of the box, they are "high flows"!

Got the Saleen sway bar installed on the front of my car this afternoon and I'm a happy camper. Tightens up the front end the way I wished it had come from the factory. It improved lower speed cornering, which actually surprised me a bit. Expected to see a difference only at higher speeds. I was lucky to purchase from a TMS member, but if I had to pay retail thru Saleen, I would do so.
