Here is about all I have been able to find on this kit besides the RPP press release from SEMA. I really like what I see from the looks of this kit. It's supposed to deliver 430hp and 385lb/ft (flywheel) at 5 psi on a GT. Does anyone have any other pics or any additional info on this kit? I have the installation instructions (.pdf) for anyone who is interested. It has 60 pages full of drawings - very detailed.

Nice, I know you where looking at the Saleen SC but this one looks very good too. By the way how is my twin? I haven’t seen your car yet. We need to get together for a photo.

LOL, the twin is doing good. I have been meaning to email you about this kit but figured I would post it also. I haven't seen much chatter about it yet. I really like this kit. And yes, we need to get them together for a group pic.

How's your car doing - still going strong?

Cars good, just got back from a road trip to Austin. Got 24.5 mpg on the way back going 80.

I really like the way this Roush SC looks under the hood. I'm really curious what it will cost. I'm guessing it will be competitive with the others so somewhere between $4500 to $5000.

Yep. Same here. A little pricey but that's ok for what you get. Looks like a lot of work went into the packaging.

Wow that's a little steap but Roush has always been a little higher priced with all their other products too. If it's that high I think I might want to go for the Saleen instead.

I agree, the Saleen looks a lot nicer.

I hope at that price you can put the CAI of you're choice on, instead of being stuck with the stocker airbox. Though I don't know a whole lot about superchargers, so maybe it won't make much of a difference.

I think I saw it on Ebay for $4600? The one thing I do know about it from Roush themselves is that an auto calibration hasn't been done for it yet. I know that means nothing to me but just to pass it along to others.

Also it will have a 3/36 warrenty extention so this is what really keeps my eye on it but I do have to say that ONLY 430 hp at the flywheel, about 380@ rear wheels, is kinda low to me. I wonder if it can be pullied and what size Eaton they are using?

thanks, Doug.

It actually comes with a high-flow filter, and they have you modify the opening in the stock airbox and add a radiused piece on the inside of the airbox cover where the opening to the intake tube mounts.

Yes, that's a good read. I'm still pretty high on the Saleen kit as well - it will likely come down to these two. There's just some things about the Roush system that I prefer, although most of it is aesthetic in nature. Perhaps the price will come down a bit as they sell more kits? I'm still expecting to shell out ~$5k for a kit, so +/-20% is not as important to me as getting the right parts on my car.

$4600 would be sweet - I'll have to be on the look out for a deal like that. I wonder when the mags will test a Roush stage 3 with this blower?

I know that that kit is good for some times in the mid 11's because the Roush/Charlais Coal car that is driven by Don Bowles was running those times at the NMRA World Finals. Don even told me that they are running the stock injectors with only 5lbs of boost and no need for fuel delivery upgrades. The pics you have posted with the guy working on the engine are from that Charlais Coal car when they were developing the kit. I also noticed that he relocated his battery and put a "cool can" from Moroso where the battery used to be. It was used to house ice water to circulate through the intercooler. Don was knocked out of competition in the second round but at least he is running 11.50's, and from what he told me it had a Jerico transmission in it.

Cool! Thanks for the info - that sounds like a pretty nice effort. I meant to mention the bottom pic was from a race application as you said, and doesn't have A/C or P/S on the engine. It's nice to see what this system is capable of doing at the track in such an application.
