And special thanks to TacoBill for helping me with those brake PDF's in my time of need.:nice: The first couple of stops with those new pads were kinda scary until the new pads bed in but she stops good now. I did this mod more as an appearance mod over a performance mod. Time will tell if the braking is really better of not.

Scott, I was wondering if you have had any problems with your brakes squealing? Mine are so bad that I'm going to try to use my old pads.

David, STOP!!!!!!! No pun intended.
No squealing at all. When you first take it for a drive it doesn't brake worth a darn for the first couple of hits on the brakes but you need to "bed in" or "set the new pads"? Take it up to about 50 - 60 mph 6 times in a row and brake it hard!!!! You should feel them getting better every time. Give them a few minutes in between hits to cool off. I have not heard a noise from mine at all except the first couple of times when it sounding like gravel was it the brakes. Not even a peep!! There is a rough coating on the pads that helps them bed in. Give it a try!! Don't baby them!! Keep us informed.

r1 concepts rotors that I purchased from ebay. I don't remember the name on the box and so far they have held up very well. No complaints except they do have rust on them. http://www.r1concepts.com/ I just posted to offer an alternative to the others. Not trying to highjack this thread~

Well those appear to be the same rotors they have simply had some changes made to them, they are selling all the Centric branded pads that Rotorpros also sells. I would be willing to bet that they are actually manufactured by Centric. Take a look here.

I'd like to see how the Rotorpros are holding up with daily driving, i.e., rain/rust. I know they're zinc coated, but that only lasts so long.

The R1s are not coated and will show rust after getting wet. I painted mine with high temp clear paint prior to install and show absolutely no rust. I have to do my rear brake lines so I'll take some pics then.

I've had mine since December and still no rust. I spray them directly with a hose everytime I wash the car and still no rust. FYI my car is a DD with close to 17000 miles in the year and half I've owned it.

I stayed with my stock pads since I changed the rotors out at around 8,000 miles.

Well... according to RotorPro's the best pad for the Centric-produced rotors is the Centric pad. I think they charge less than $80 for a full set of front and rear pads! :nice:
