My next mod will be a cat/axle back.
* I want something that sounds aggressive w/o giving me tinnitus.
* It should have minimum (or no) drone
* It should fit perfectly w/o any modification at all - no hacking.
* It should not decrease HP - prefer increase but not required.
* Should not require a (re)tune.
Given those requirements, what should I get?

LordBritish - I would have t say " SLP Loudmouths" for an axleback.
Check my Magnapaks vs. SLP video. It might help you a little.

I recommend SLPs.
I bought mine at mustang tune

224$ US - shipped for free in US - I had no issues with them.

I have a pair of ramps.
Can it be done with one person?
How long does it take?
I noticed in the picture that they don't seem to include the mufflers. Does that mean the stock mufflers will be used?
What are the basic installation steps.

I posted my experience on installing them at the above post, scroll down in the post you will see it... Real easy actually... It helped to have my wife tell when they were level...
Just be sure to check the bolts a couple of times after installing to insure they are staying tight.
I have also noticed that they quiet down a bit after a few hundred miles - Actually they are at a perfect volume now....

I believe that most aftermarket exhausts you are going to get there is going to be some drone no matter what. Most of the exhausts no matter what are probably going to be louder, and therefore will hit different frequencies. The drone has been taken care of by factory design etc. I have bassani compcats, xpipe and axle backs. I highly recommend them, they are expensive. If you want a sweet sound and quality parts, try maybe xpipe back, or even just axle back is what a lot of people are saying. Mine is pretty loud but ever so sweet a sound. I imagine the axle backs or xpipe and axle backs would be plenty sweet. Good luck.

Magnaflow Cat-back. Check my CarDomain page in my signature for an installation review. It went on super-easy and sounds awesome! It's gotten just a touch louder since install, but no drone. Highly recommended.

I installed the SLPs today. First time I've worked on a car at all, and it went smoothly. The nuts on the hangars can be hard to get to when taking off the stock mufflers. Definitely have a good set of socket wrenches around with various size attachments and handles, etc.
Love the sound... From the "butt-o-meter" test, I'd say I lost a bit of torque on the low end in first gear - everything else feels pretty similar, maybe a tiny gain when getting on it. I need a tune though. Installing a X-pipe and JLT next weekend with 93 tune. Should really sound mean after that...

I listened to the Borla's at Carlisle at their both then a few hours later when the Borla car was getting ready to leave I drove by with my SLP's and everyone was looking at me. The Borla system does sound great and if I wanted a full CAT back then that's the way to go.

Wow, so many people are saying SLP Loudmouths. He specifically said no to little drone. I'd say no matter what you change them to you will get drone. As for not requiring a retune, that is tricky because changing the backpressure I think will require a tune.
