I am going to install LT headers in 08 and do I need rear O2 mil eliminators or is this now turned off in the tune. My local speed shop uses SCT X3's. Thanks...

Turned off in the tune. You may need MIL's to get around emissions issues. It depends on how your state does emissions testing if at all.

I agree with Tony. What are the emission laws/rules in the area you live. Do you have to have an emission check to get your license? This is what will determine what you need to do or can get away with.

Emissions here in NC are just plug in to the OBDII port and if the cars says everything is OK you pass, no tail pipe sniffing. I used mil eliminators on my 01 GT (Cats were drilled out so it looked like I had cats as the cat pods were still there) and passed everytime. This was with BBK LT headers and "cat'd" X pipe.

Then you would need to leave your rear O2 sensors turned "on" and use Mil eliminators again. They can tell that the rears are turned off.

Yeah, that is a pain in the butt! Without the rear O2 sensors turned on, you will never get the "ODB-II Ready" status on the emissions scanner and you will fail right off the bat.

Ask me how I know...

In my defense, I didn't realize that Doug turns off the rear O2 sensors by default. I still had my cats and rear O2 sensors in place and (I thought...) working...
