Local guy is selling Mickey thompson ET Drag Slicks 26 x 8.5 x 15 on centerline 15x8rims.

Anyone know if these will fit properly on my '06?

Thanks!

You could ask the guy if you do a test fit on the car. Check the lug holes on those used Centerlines for spider web cracks, usually happens under extreme stress. If the are cracked they can cause an unbalanced wheel as well.

Meaning these won't fit? OR ... I should figure out what the back spacing is on them?

Backspacing on a set of stock 17" wheels is 6.29 inches, stock 18's is 6.82.Most Centerlines come in at 3 3/4's or 4 1/2",maybe more backspacing if they were special ordered.Measure from the backside of the hub to the outside of the rim.
If the backspacing is too shallow they will prolly stick way out of the wheel well.

Okay got the full specs on them -

MT ET Drag Slicks 26 x 8.5 x 15
Centerline 15x8 with 5" of backspacing

Anyone know if these will fit? I'm considering buying a pair for sale (somewhat) locally, but far enough away I don't want to drive there unless I know it works.

Thanks!

I put a Ford racing FR500 rim 18x9" backspace was 5.95 and it sat dead flush with the out side fender with no tire, but 5" back space correct me anybody if Im wrong but the rim +tire will stick out 1" 1/4 past the fender.

More backspacing issues......

I'm looking at a set of Cobra rims for my '05. It's a 18x10 inch rim with backspacing at 6.37", with a 275/40 tire mounted. I currently run stock 17x8" rims and tires, which are backspaced at 6.29" with a 235 tire: SO, this is a difference of .06" in rim backspacing, but almost 2 full inches in tire width....what, exactly, am I measuring in the wheel well to see if this combo fits on my car?
