question on Corsa exhaust

For those of you that own the axle back system, do you feel (or believe) the 14 hp and 7 lbs torque gains.
Thats not a lot, but its enough you should be able to tell a difference if its there. Does it seem like it to you?

Im having trouble thinking that an axle backsystem can deliver that much..?

On the top blue bar (on the opposite side where you hit new post) is a search function. If you type in Corsa exhaust, there are already several threads that will likely answer all of your questions.

Theres no way an axle back is gonna give you 14hp. That's bull. I could see that much from a mid pipe but rarely will mufflers give you more than 2-3hp.

I have mine installed for over a year now, and would say that I feel no gain in hp or tq. These are all about the sound and looks, and I am very happy on both counts.

I've got Corsa axle-back's on my GT along with a Xcal2 and tunes from Brenspeed. When I asked Brent about Corsa's he said they were good for 2-3 HP, which is about what you'll get from any aftermarket muffler on a S197. The guy is a pro and knows what he is talking about. The factory mufflers flow fairly free so there's not much HP to be gained by swapping mufflers for people with mostly stock setup's.

The Corsa's are less restrictive than stock mufflers so those with heavier engine mods (port polishing, cams, superchargers, etc.) that significantly increase intake/exhaust flow would benefit more than those with stock internals. A muffler swap to Corsa's will mainly get you better sound and their noted lack of cabin droning. I'm happy with mine and feel they're worth the money, I don't plan on selling my GT any time soon. I don't think any company's mufflers will gain even 10 HP on a mostly stock V8 S197.
(other than fan-mag bench racing)

yeah i dont feel any difference in mine. although i did beat another stock S197 after i put them on so who knows? and he got a better start than me. in case ur wondering he's RedDragon777 on this website.

as for the sound and drone, just alone these things really do scream and trust me they are really worth the money on the sound alone. and no drone at all.
