question about CMDP

Can CMDP be used if you are going to be getting say a Kenne Bell super charger? I'm about to purchase some Steeda Billet CMDPs and I never thought about it before but I should find out if they can still be used if I get some sort of super charger such as the KB or if the SC kit will not utilize that part of the intake. Thanks!

IMHO you will be wasting your money on billet CMDP's. As far as using them with a K.B. I don't know.

I will be selling my economy plates at the end of the month if you are interested.

I thought the billet ones were supposed to be a lot better because they matched the ports better etc... Can anyone shed some light on this for me? IF they really arent any better and can be used with a KB SC then I'll just get those.

Why are you taking your off?

With the KB, Whipple style blower sits directly on the heads and the drive motor for the CMCPs is mounted under the stock manifold. You don't need them any more.

awesome, this is the answer I was looking for. Thank you for saving me 300+ bucks.

These would only really be benefical for a SC such as the Paxton or Vortec, or turbo application basically? Something that would not be replacing the factory intake, because the KB replaces all of that with its own intake and sits directly on the heads? If that made any sence? lol

I haven't heard of anyone with a F/I using them. They normally remove them for that style also. I'm N/A and I don't have them either but I used the stock style ones.

Pretty sure that delete plates ARE used with the centrifugal blowers. Brenspeed sells their Vortech package with them.

It took me awhile to decipher what everyone was talking about. Ford officially calls these things "CMCV", so that is what I use to describe them.

Ah ok. Maybe I can assume that the stock units are CMCV and the aftermarket ones are CMDP since they delete? In any case, it seems I won't be needing the delete plates as either unit would be gettin replaced all together by the new intake manifold for the "whipple style" SC.

I'm just glad I didnt plunk down 300 bones for somthing I wouldnt have needed in the long run.

I got mine for 140 for tillman. You must have been looking at the billet style delete plates.
