Pypes Off Road H
Violators + Off-Road H =
Went pretty well this time around. I learned a lot from the X pipe on the '05, and my off road h on my 2003. I couldn't be more please with the sound (if you couldn't tell). It's exactly what I was looking for. I love my Violators, but they're so quiet. Now, it's nice and deep-throaty (new word I'm copyrighting), and when I get on it, all hell breaks loose. The best is standing next to it during take-off when my friend drove it. And I wanna thank Brenspeed for super fast free shipping. Ordered Thursday at 10:54AM, and arrived Friday afternoon. Anyway, here's the video.

Thank you. Brenspeed's latest video did it for me. I was set on the mid-muffler system with off road h pipe. Then I thought, wait a minute. I already have Pypes mufflers. I'll try the H pipe first, and change to mid muff system if it's not what I'm looking for. But it DEFINITELY was what I was looking for. I've got a really good sound clip I'll put up tomorrow. It shows how tame she can be until I rap on her a bit.

No trumpets or drone here at all. I had a small bit of drone before the H pipe. It cured it. I didn't mind the drone anyway, though. But now there's no drone, and no trumpets.

Here's a sound clip I made with a microphone and a laptop. Kinda shows how tame it is until I give lay into it. Right-click save as, or open in windows media player. Doesn't stream right in firefox for some reason.

let it all break in and you'll get the trumpeting and raspiness. My GTAs (one of the quietest mufflers out there) started to do it with an O/R H-Pipe after about 800 or so miles.
I'm putting the stock mufflers back on tomorrow to compliment the O/R H, looks like it's the closest thing to the sound i'm looking for.

Adding 12" or longer resonators to the over-axle pipes will eliminate all trumpeting. Ive ran the Pypes o/r H with stock, Bassani, Corsa, and Borla exhausts and by far enjoy the resonators and Borla combo.
