Pypes mufflers- did I get the right ones?

409 Stainless: The price is comparable to most aluminized systems on the market. This material is used on most of the newer cars produced today. While 409 Stainless will turn a reddish-brown color and may get a hint of surface rust, It will not rust through, allowing it to have exceptional corrosion resistance.

T409 SS is better than T304 SS in terms of durability and strength.
T304 SS is very easily to work with. It's soft and fast to cut, almost like aluminum. The pros of T304 include outstanding surface corrosion resistance, making it look shiny and clean for the longest time.
T409 SS is chosen by most OEMs for exhaust parts due to its strength. It has titanium in the alloy along with some other stronger metals to provide added durability. The negative aspect of T409 SS is that it will develop SURFACE corrosion more readily than T304 SS. Again, this is just surface corrosion. If you lightly sanded off the rust, you will see that it is shiny underneath. Stainless steel is not a "coating" so there's no risk of making it rust faster by lightly sanding the surface. In fact, some T304 SS is polished to give it a shiny luster. Polishing is the act of rubbing light or mild abrasives on the surface of the metal to smooth out the surface.

Thanks for the info... So even though they may surface rust some it is not a major problem towards the integrity of the system... The tips are the only thing that shows with the MM system and I am going to get them to weld my slp tips in place of the Pypes tips... I way way prefer my SLP tips they look just so good on our cars!
