Pushing for 11.6 in qtr mile with stock block and heads

Folks, last November I managed an 11.8 at 115mph on the stock block and heads (with comp 127500 cams though). I pulled the car out of the garage for the 2nd time since then and have it in the shop this week getting ready for the fall season. I want 11.6--I think only ONE person has got there on the stock block AND heads (albeit with aftermarket cams).

the car needed new brake pads, and C&L forwarded me a racer inlet to better complement the C&L manifold. These things are a bear to tune but Woodbine Motorsports called and said it put down 361/324, about 10 more hp and trq than last year with the C&L street intake. Might be noise in the dyno but 10hp differences are a bit more than the usual range across pulls. it took a bit of tuning to get it all working well (the C&L is really worth it if you can live life in the upper rpm ranges).

Hopefully Maryland will dry out by this weekend, or I'll have to wait another weekend...

Pretty impressive to still have stock heads, would like to see it with CNC ported heads!
