Pulled the trigger on a Whipple!
Ok,
it's a done deal. My car is at ST Motorsports getting Whippled. I should have my new beast by tomorrow night!!!
I'm getting the HO kit with 10psi pulley. Adam assures me that he will give me a safe, conservative tune.
I'll be sure to post pics!

Congratulations...
I see a lot of people getting Supercharged. I have only seen one with a problem. I am like many, would Love one but, not sure what if any problems to expect. Also, they are a few $$$ I do not have for this mod at this time.
As time goes on I am sure we will see if there are any problems. Again, congratulations and keep us informed...

Grrr,
talked to ST this morning. They don't have the blower in yet! It hasn't been delivered. Looks like either tomorrow night or Friday til I get my ride back. Oh well, I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

Hey Rob,
There is nobody that knows better than Don W. what Adam charges for a motor build. But ...tread lightly in this area. It's only been a yr. since Don W. had no choice but to build a new motor... If it were me it would still be like an open wound given the circumstances around why he had to rebuild. I still feel your pain Don.

That is impossible to answer. It all depends on what parts you decide to use, and how extreme you want to get. And machine shop costs will vary depending on what block you use.
Thanks Scott, but I've pretty much recovered from that whole experience. I just looked at it as an opportunity to build the car I really wanted. And so far, so good. I have over 8,000 miles (and 275 runs) on the new combination, and I'm having a great time.
