Picked it up today with 10 miles on it. It was pretty much fully loaded minus SIRIUS, heated seats and nav.

Sticker price was $29,900. Got the rebates, incentives and X Plan and got it down to $25,500 without tags, titles and tax. Back up to $27,000 with all that stuff.

Anyways, got a good deal and I couldn't pass it up on this sweet Stang. Did I mention it's Redfire? haha.

On every other car I have owned, I have always installed a aftermarket headunit and subwoofers, but I love the Shaker500 so much, I don't think I will touch it.

Eventually I plan on getting tint, SLP loudmouth axlebacks, and a CDC Shaker system. and the occasional "look good" mod to add my own personal touch to the car.

Does anyone know if they made the Flaming Running Horse for the S197? I know they made them for the pre-05 models.

Nice ride! I had a set of Boston Acoustic replacement speakers installed and it sounds even better. The subs were nice enough to keep. Its a really godd system for a stock stereo.

Poco: How much were the replacement speakers, and how much difference was there in the sound? Enough to justify the cost in your opinion?

The speakers were around $500.00 installed(doors and package tray).Kinda pricey. But we travel a lot and I could justify it.There are some other speakers like Bose and Infinity's but the Bostons take some abuse when I get the Buzzsaw station on my Sirus.

I replaced my stock speakers with 4 Kenwood 5x8 coaxial I had from a previous ride. Change out time was about 2 hours and it made a WORLD of difference. There was no modification of mounting necessary. The stock speakers just do not produce any bass to speak of and after the swap out, (keeping the same subs) my bass has much fuller sound and I have no inclination to upgrade the Shaker 500 as far as sound quality (although I may upgrade to the stock Ford GPS system)

I have .pdf of how to disassemble doors / install speakers/head unit if anybody would like the file...

Yeah yeah get the SLP Loudmouths as soon as possible! You will love the roar they make. It is quite addicting....The only thing that sounds almost as good is my Harley with the screaming eagle pipes!

congrats from one redfire to another, great color

and if you check the exterior mods section, there is a vendor on here that advertises those painted running horses, think he goes by hireman or something like that.

here's a pic of my 05 gt
