I was talking with a guy at the track today about his trans brake. His car is a dedicated drag car, but the idea of a trans brake for my automatic is intriguing. My main concern is how it may or may not effect the car for use as my daily driver. Do any of you have a trans brake on your street car? If so, what are the pros and cons?

Thanks.

First of all, I highly doubt that there is a transbrake actually available for your transmission. The transbrake itself really makes no difference for regular use, but to get much out of it for race use you need a really loose (high stall speed) torque converter, and high pressures. Those two factors are going to make the car much less friendly for daily use, especially in bad weather.
