Predator Datalogging.

Just wanting to expand my knowledge some. With all the parameters to datalog, would like to understand parameters you knowlegible users datalog and just as (more) importantly. Why? Thanks in advance for any insights, this site has been great.

I dont know if these parameters are on the predator but I watch the following when dynotuning....
Short & Long term fuel trims
Coolant Temps
Intake air temps
MAF ad counts or voltage
Spark Advance
RPM
Load
Knock Sensor
On a n/a car, now on a supercharged car there are a few more that I watch as well.
The Fuel trims will tell you how close your air intake and MAF transfer function are from idle to part throttle.
Coolant temps are good to watch because anywhere above 200 degree's on a 05 and you're not making any power
Intake air temps, neat to watch especially if you have a CAI during normal driving. Also they help to determine engine power, if they are too high then the engine wont make good power.
MAF counts, well this is a determining factor of where you want to make adjustments to the a/f ratio and based off the fuel trims how much you may need to adjust it down low.
Spark Advance and Knock sensor, you can see how much you are making or possibly if it is retarding, Even if you cant watch the knock sensor you can see if it pulls timing up top.
Load is good to see how high you car goes but is more for tuners to determine where you are on the spark table to add or subtract timing and fuel.
I hope this helps a bit....
Thanks, Doug.

SCT sells a book to the Pro Racer Package owners , which is basically the same thing dealers have but only for your car. I have it and it provides great info on tunning and on using SCT products.
