Just the pics I was looking for :worship:

That makes it a very tough decision between white an charcoal stripes.

Looks great

awesome.....simply awesome...but, why no stripes on the spoiler ?
Hey Adrenalin, we played around with the strips on the spoiler, I just liked it without them, more of an old school look I guess. The future of the spoiler is undecided as I may go with a ducktail if I find the right one.

Thanks everyone for the complements, alot of the reasons my Pony was possible was because of you guy's and this site!

Charcoal stripes on a black GT are gonna be hard to see!

Yeah I guess they would be.

I was thinking about a little bit darker shade than silver but now I am back to white.

Tough decision...

Justin - the GT looks great. The racing stripes look well balanced, right width and separation, and the white on black is awesome. However, the GT 500 decal and the Cobra emblem don't belong on an 2005. Maybe I'm too much of a purist, but those icons should only be displayed on the real thing. Also - love the bullitt wheels, they really fit the nostalgic look of the 05GT.

Actually, the GT500 didn't make 500HP, more like 335hp. The GT500 was pure Shelby/Ford marketing.

John, I appriciate the complaments. I do not however share you "purist" views, and I don't have to justify my car to anyone, but I feel compelled to explain it. What makes the Mustang the most popular muscle car of all time and the only one really still on the road, is the heart and soul these cars posses. It is the most moddified and personalized car on the road. The "people" is what makes this legend what it is. In that, I love seeing what people create and bring to life with the art of fabrication and ingenuity. I also love creating things through fabrication and hard work. My car IS NOT an 05 with badges slaped on it for no reason! It is my ceation and interpritation of my favorite car of all time the 1968 Shelby GT 500. The only reason I bought an 05 was 2 years ago when I saw the first concept of the 05, it instantly made me think of the 68. I toyed around with the idea of buying a 68 fastback and building a ground up GT 500, but figured it would be cool to do it the other way around and still have modern convenience's sort-of a "Mod-Resto". I don't think Carrol Shelby would have a problem with my car, so niether should you. In fact if I run into Mr. Shelby at the speedway I'll ask him! And make no mistake about it when my car is done I dare any previous Cobra's to step up to the plate, they may not like the way my snake bites.......

Justin - cool your jets. The car looks great, but it's not a GT500. It's kinda like the ricers putting the BMW badges on their Honda Civics. IMO it just ain't right. Next time you see CS, ask him to but your GT500 in the registry, and tell him JJ said hi.

Don't say my car look's great, then compare it to ricer crap. Don't even waste the time typing. I don't give a d#m about a registry!! I'm not building my car for a "registry", I'm building my car to enjoy, race, and smoke guy's like you with it. My car is a GT500 and I hope it burns you up! Narrow minded people like you, are the ones that discurage people from geting into or enjoying the sport of Mustang's. Now with some good advise from my fellow "Mustang Enthusiast's" I will no longer fuel the fire that is your stupidity. :bang:

P.S. The next time you talk to "CS" tell him thank you for building such a great car to inspire FUTURE generations of MUSTANG ENTHUSIAST'S B)

Rock On!!
