BOut ready to pull the trigger. Which CAI ( and Tuner) did you choose?

Tell me about your ease of install, problems, would you do it again?

It's down to the C&L and the JLT?

Lets hear from the experts

Thanks

Check w/ Doug at Bamachips. He can give you dyno numbers on both and a good deal on a package w/CAI & tuner. I personally have not purchased one yet, but there are many here at TMS that swear by his tunes and customer service. When I do pull the trigger, that's who I'll go with.

JLT, and the only issue was the filter fell off once. With the new stainless insert, it hasn't budged a millimeter. Great sound, and certainly a lot more "seat of the pants" giddy-up than stock. Happiness factor: 9.5 out of 10.

JLT - bang for the buck. And with the new aluminum insert for the filter, the thing is rock solid and no clearance issues with the JET TBS.

I have the JLT and there where two deciding factors for me.

One, nothing but good things said about the product
Two, painted to match

C&L because I prefer the appearance and it is the only intake with a custom tune by Lidio at Alternative Auto.

I decided to go with them because he is getting the most out of the auto tranny right now.

I went with the JLT. Great customer service, Jay is always there whenever you have a question. You can have it painted to match your car's color and the value is excellent. I went with the JLT and SCT2 combo and love it.

I ordered the C&L/SCT2 package from Brenspeed. It hasn't got here yet, but I'll post pics and my opinions once I get it.

As far as price, I got mine for 675 with a custom 91 Octane tune for CA gas, 91 C&L tune, 93 C&L tune.

JLT wanted I think 650 painted for the JLT/Diable Package.

I'll pay the $25 buck extra for the C&L just on looks alone!

Thats a good price. I paid $750 for C&L/SCT2 package with 3 tunes.

89 Octane, 93 Octane and a 93 Octane with a 2 degree spark adjustment because I can't usually get 93 gas where I live only 91 or 92.

C&L=325.00
SCT2=375.00
Bama tune=Priceless

I did not get my SCT or C&L from Doug at Bama(already had them). If I were doing it again, I would not hessitate to buy the whole package from him. His tuning is second to none. One of the nicest guys out there to boot.

JLT with predator does the very same thing as the C&L and is cheaper. Was no brainer for me.

Last I checked, the JLT/Diablo was 650 painted. What did you pay if you don't mind.

I was interested in the JLT until all the drama broke out...I just decided against it, not based on anything other than my own personal opinions. I like the look of the JLT when it is body matched, but I love the look of the C&L.

Anyone purchased both???
