Ok, getting a little worried

I am sitting here thinking of all the money I have put in my car and I am a little alarmed.

Rims and Tires: 2100
Steeda compitition front fascia with lamp kit: 800 plus shipping
Cervini ram air hood: 600
GT500 spoiler (knock off) 200
Calif Spec rear bumper: 500
Stripes and body part install: 2400
JLT CAI and SCT3: 585
3:73 gears 750
Magnaflow axel back exhaust: 400

Total cost: $8335

I would be ok with this if I was done. Problem is I can see myself spending another 15-20k.

If my wife EVER sees these figures........let's just say my dipstick will read empty for a while

If you ever have a problem with the wife remind her that it could be worse....you could be out drinking all the time and/or chasing loose women.....so the car isn't such a bad hobby after all .

Exactly. My wife tells the neighbors that my car is my redhead.

Now if I could get her into a stang of her own.....

She drives a bone stock 02 GT, so she is in a stang. She has this crazy idea about new baby, new family car, retirement, college funds and new house coming before my turbo, new motor, clutch, 9" rear end and suspension upgrades. I am not sure what she is thinkin.

NEVER add up you receipts! I just throw all my receipts into one big folder and shut the cabinet.

Heh, when I started talking about a supercharger the first thing mine asked was "can the kids eat it? or can we put it on the baby instead of all the diapers we are buying?"

I feel you pain

....See a few years ago I sold my Vette and instead of buying another car to play with I bought her a new ring. Now I have free reign on the Mustang..

yep. Exaxctly why mine isn't going in for the current recall. If she ever found the receipt's, or looked at my ebay account, I'd be toast. Burnt toast at that. Sooooooooo, as an insurance policy, my passenger air-bag stays fully loaded.

OO!! And my grand for my laser jammer and radar detecter.

Though, I am not sure I should count that as it has already paid for itself.

Adding up your mods is asking for two things to happen.

1) Sadness of how much you spend which leads to depression
2) Spending more to cheer you up to cure your depression.

Vicious cycle it is.

Yeah.. I added up what I spent on the CAI/tune + carputer/audio... I bought all the parts for that stuff on various impulses, and if I had just restrained myself, it would have been about a grand short of a supercharger. Sad.

I added my receipts one time several thousands ago, thought I might throw up knowing I was only half way done, now after SEVERAL thousand more I still seem only to be half way done, and to top it off I went and bought another new stang to mod!!

does anybody know the actual number of halves there are in a modded car? I dont have a wife problem since I am divorced and everytime I think I need another wife, I order a part. it has worked very well the last couple of years. LOLOLOL

I probably have the cost of my car, in my car LOLOL

You own a muscle car. This sort of thing is part of the package, my friend.

If you DIDN'T feel this way, THAT would be sick...
