Oil Separator Recommendations
Oil Separator Recommendations
Hey everyone,
I've been looking around for an oil separator for my 06 Mustang GT and I've seen a good bit to choose from. I'd like some recommendations on what to get. My car is N/A and it will stay that way for a while.
I noticed a lot of guys are using only one separator and I've been wondering why because oil can get into the intake manifold from both engine banks. I'm thinking that it would be best to have a separator for each engine bank.
Thank you!

Brenspeed sells a nice in-line JLT separator. The passenger side pulls air from the intake, so it typically wouldn't need a separator.
Well JLT is the popular choice. It's not needed on the driver side they say only if you go off roading. They suggest the passenger side is the one you should get, they run about 120 bucks.

The 4.6 2005-2010 is driver side.
I don't like the cans - you can't see the level. And I don't like ones that don't have a drain petcock.
Both my cars have one from BKU Motorsports.

Is there anything in the way of a tune required when deleting the pcv? Is there a tutorial? I've only had my car since May last year and I've only heard of the oil separator since October when it was in storage already.
By deleting the PCV, you're talking about putting those little filters on each head in place of the PCV tubes? If so, I don't think any tuning is needed if you do both heads.
Are you looking to use an inline separator or vent to the atmosphere?
